"One of the most beautiful drive to this property located at remote location! Even though it’s gravel road, if you enjoy driving, you’d appreciate the beauty of the nature during entire drive. Other guests spotted whales and dolphins right at front side of property. I and my wife enjoyed our stay. I’d go there again just to enjoy the drive and have a cup of coffee in morning sitting at bench in front of the property hoping to spot whales!"

"Nice room however it appeared they were modular put together. The heat was blazing when we went in the room. I turned off the heater and opened the window. With the window open all night at 6 degrees C outside the warm was still plenty warm in the morning. That was really the only issue we had. Slightly overpriced.. "

"We stopped here on night 5 of our Ring Road tour. We had a Superior Double room which had a balcony overlooking the fjord. The views were stunning. Parking was available next to the bar/restaurant. Access was on the level from that car park, and there was also a lift if you accessed from the upper level. The reception is in the building across the road, and there’s a small exhibition depicting the building’s former use as a hospital. The room was spacious and has a mini-fridge. Beds were comfy and the room was spotless. Breakfast was great with a huge selection to choose from."

"Cabins are rustic and dated, but main hotel building was more modern. Breakfast was the first we encountered in Iceland that included cooked eggs and a waffle station, and dinner was excellent. Happy hour runs until 1900, with nice pricing on drafts and wine and beautiful lounge upstairs. Overall a fair value compared to all our stays, but would avoid the cabins. The photo is very modern, but cabin was more austere. Of course, if you’re driving the Ring Road you are not expecting 4 stars. Staff was very helpful and meals made up for any room shortcomings compared to the previous five nights in Iceland."
