First of all the staff at the front desk wasn't cery welcoming. We booked from Friday night to Sunday morning and the entire Saturday night into Sunday morning we had no water in the entire hotel. Imagine how uncomfortable that was. Couldn't use the toilets or have a shower. Outside of that, the curtain in the room was old and ragged with tears and holes looking like they were burnt. Our face basin was always clogged and took forever for the water to drain. At breakfast it was continental so not much but the waffles and pancake maker didn't work.

Our room where we stayed smell smoke, carpet a bit dirty, bathroom smell smoke! Bathtub faucet not working very good, thankfully they changed new faucet, which iis great! Swimming pools,slide and hot tub were great, kids enjoyed!

Unfortunately, our stay at Travelodge by Wyndham Edmonton West was far from pleasant. We were abruptly woken up by loud banging on the door of the room next to us due to a medical wellness check for another guest. While we understand emergencies happen, it was very disruptive and unsettling early in the morning. The pool was completely unavailable because it was booked for a children’s birthday party, which was not communicated to us in advance. This was disappointing, as the pool was one of the amenities we were hoping to use. At check-in, we were only given one breakfast ticket, despite being more than one guest. Additionally, there were no tissues in the room when we arrived. We informed the front desk and were told it would be brought up, but it never was; we didn’t receive tissues until the next morning. To make matters worse, the water was off from the time we checked in until after 9:00 a.m. the next morning. This meant the toilet was unusable, and we were unable to wash our hands, which is completely unacceptable for any hotel stay. Overall, this was a very uncomfortable and disappointing experience. Between the lack of communication, unavailable amenities, basic room supplies missing, and no running water, this was a horrible stay. I would not recommend this location based on our experience.

Staffs was very good. 1st night I arrived late, hotel was fully booked. So the only room left was by the elevator. A bit noisy with the elevator up and down plus there is some heavy base music going till late around 1:00am. So I couldn't sleep well. I asked to switched to different tower on the 3rd day for the rest my total 5 nights staying. But it was worst. The room was away from the elevator which is good. But there were a few families living around my room on the same floor was the so noisy all day all nights. Kids running around once in awhile all day all night. People come and go in and out of the different rooms with doors closing pound everytimes come and go. Dogs barking once in awhile days and nights. On the last night staying was the worst. It was New Year's Eve, I was a bit sick with a cold. Took a NeoCitran trying to get a good sleep. But with the kids running and people come and go every hour with door slammed noises. Then finally able to felt asleep a bit with putting my earphones on. But @ 2:00am o'clock the fire alarm went off, the hotel 1st and 2nd floor was on fire and I can smell it on the 5th floor. That time I realized had to get up and run outside. But the temperature was -25°C outside. Luckyly firefighter came and contained the fire and we able to go back in after couple hours. Back to the room took a few hours sleep with a bit smoky smell. Checked out early in the morning with an 8hours long drive back home to Prince George, BC. What a worst holiday!

This hotel is a dump. The pictures are deceiving. The pool is disgusting, hot tub is cold and the water slide is broken. This is not a water park. There was a fire in our tower, I had to move rooms because my first wouldn’t lock and there were people smoking cigarettes and drugs visibly in the property. I cannot believe I brought my children here with these safety concerns.

Cleanliness was okay, and some of the staff were okay as well — but unfortunately, our overall experience was very disappointing. We had a major issue with water shortages. On Saturday afternoon, we were out at the mall and returned to the hotel at night, then went straight to the pool. When we finally went back to our room, we realized there was no running water at all. We contacted the front desk and were told it would be back within a few hours. However, the water did not return until the next day around 7 a.m. To make matters worse, we were told it was a city-wide issue, which later turned out to be untrue. That dishonesty was extremely frustrating — guests should have been informed properly instead of being misled. At one point, we explained that we urgently needed to use the toilet, and the only advice given was to “use it anyway and just leave it,” which was honestly gross and unacceptable. Many other guests were also complaining that day, yet we still had to pay in full and did not receive any compensation, partial refund, or even a proper apology for the inconvenience. Overall, it was a stressful and unpleasant experience. I would recommend staying away from this hotel — if you can spend a little more, it’s definitely worth choosing somewhere else.

Rooms were cozy for the rates and pet friendly which was nice, the breakfast was very poor but also the breakfast server is extremely rude ! Like worst service ever she wouldn’t re stock a thing both days I stayed there I just got juice and the waffle machine was out of order which sucked as well as the water slide would’ve been nice to know before booking but other then that the hotel is honestly a good stay

Gave us double beds instead of the queen beds i paid for. Door to the room was jammed and a fire hazard. Fire door to outside was broken. Children running and screaming all through the night through halls until 1am with no staff saying anything to them. Dogs left unattended barking in rooms all morning. Broken glass in hallway. 0 star experience.

Our day was beyond terrible, front desk was dealing with RCMP waited 1/2 hour at desk to check in. There was a large group of not pleasant people running around the building. A lot of people waiting for key cards to be re set as they don’t open doors. Very outdated rooms the photos online aren’t what you get for sure. Dirty laundry in piles in hallway. When we went to our room there was a rather high girl running up and down hall yelling and screaming for BEN. Our key cards too didn’t work as per others. Can’t comment on pool or watersides didn’t use. We were woken several times during night as hallways are very loud slamming doors. May we any to invest in door sweeps and slow closing doors it was not fun. We are older (seniors) and wouldn’t recommend to anyone. As for the breakfast included it wasn’t a breakfast you could have bran flakes, bread, bagel, apples, cold hard boiled eggs, tea, coffee or juice. No yogurt, any other fruit, waffle iron no mix and one kind of cereal. If you advertise you should offer. When I book with Expedia I would hope you had done research and it prior to advertising this hotel. I wouldn’t recommend staying here ever..:::

I booked this hotel as a spot to bring my young niece and nephew and my mother. Chosen for it's low price point and proximity to WEM I was disappointed to hear that there were very loud and disrespectful persons in the lobby and other areas of the hotel. Though the staff did quickly intervene to remove those persons and remind them that there were children present. It appears the low price point that attracted us and many other families also attracts people that need somewhere warm to stay for the night. The quality of food in the attached restaurant was poor. The morning breakfast ran out by 8am and was increasingly unsanitary as people were sharing one jar of peanut butter around the whole dining area. You can tell the staff care and are trying, but I cannot recommend that anyone with children stay in this location as it does not feel safe.

Never stay at this location. It is dirty and unsafe. Drugs and alcohol are a significant issue and folks are wandering the property high or drunk. Yelling and screaming in the middle of the night. The pool is broken and the hot tub is cold. It is surprising that Wyndham still is associated with this location. I will never stay here again.

This is by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. Dirty lobby, dirty floors, unsafe hallways and stairwells. Homeless people wondering around. Open drug use in hotel. Not a safe place!

There was a fire the night before. Our room was supposed to be right in the middle of the smell. The lady at the desk said she wasn’t aware that it still smelled like smoke. There was also a person sitting in the stairwell and roaming the main floor who wasn’t a guest and they needed to call security, which took quite a while.

The pool area is unique, but there rarely were towels and they took over an hour to restock them when we asked for towels. I was not allowed to get an extra coffee pod in the evening for my morning coffee. We had been there 4 days at this point and had not had our room restocked, and I was told they only hand out coffee pods in the morning.

The pool was dirty, the breakfast was toast or cereal with everyone using the same peanut butter jar, then there was a fire in the middle of the night caused by a bathroom fan and we were all evacuated. Never again will I stay here.
