We just returned from a lovely stay at Hotel More. Of course the surroundings are magnificent. But the hotel staff and on-site facilities are what make or break a hotel. WOW!!! I was speechless at this hotel. We stayed for two glorious nights and it was better than the best Marriott I have stayed at. Not only was it only a few years old, but the rooms were huge and the shower was to die for. We stayed in the old town before Berkeley hotel and it was a nice change. The hotel can have some good views and is quiet. Food is better in the vicinity and convenient to the bus for local city or intercity. Also 8 min walk to the airport shuttle, which is 40 kunas, while city bus is 15 kunas. You can pay for fare on the bus and they will make change. Hotel itself was fantastic and staff was great. Probably the niciest hotel we stayed in in Croatia for less than $150.

Hotel was gorgeous and very clean. We reserved ocean front balcony and it was worth it to have a view of the ocean. The pool was amazing with lots of chairs and umbrellas. The beach was also nice (bring water shoes as the beach is rocky) with lots of chairs and umbrellas. This hotel is a bit out of the way from all the downtown things (which we liked for the quiet aspect) so food options were more limited, but the food the hotel offered and few restaurants on property were very yummy.
