This was our third staycation stay there. The property is clean, the staff is really nice, the rooms have everything you need to cook, refrigerate, the utensils are there, and there are many eating and drinking establishments within walking distance. And you can walk to the beach in less than 10 minutes. It’s a great place to stay.

First off this is such a cool beach town. The whole area was quaint and friendly. The inn is a great change from a traditional hotel and certainly beats a vacation rental. Plenty to do on the strip. Very convenient

Great property close to the beach! Lots of dining options in walking distance. Rooms were very clean. Rooms are basic but have what you need!

Have stayed here before. Simple, no frills. Comfortable like a mid-century motel (built in the 1920s). Staff are friendly and accommodating. Clean. Great walkable location. Would appreciate if paper towels were provided, esp.since it has a kitchenette. Also, kleenex would be nice, and easy access to an ice maker. None are dealbreakers, just extra touches.

It's quaint and a neat place to stay. Very affordable and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We would definitely consider staying there again on our next trip to Del Mar Beach.

The Leucadia is such a LOVELY property. Our room was the most cute and quaint I have stayed in in many years. It has a full kitchen with a table and 4 chairs. There's a little market with fresh fruits and vegetables next door and a few restaurants within a few blocks. The owner is great. I will return!

The Leucadia Beach Inn in beautiful North County San Diego is great! My wife and I stayed for one night to see a band play at the Belly Up Tavern in nearby Solana Beach. The owner Mark was cool and informative along with a sense of humor. Quiet and mellow and an easy walk to the beach, dining and other interests in Leucadia. We will return again when the opportunity arises. Thank you!

I loved this property. We stayed 4 nights and it was perfect! So close to everything we wanted from south to San Diego to north to Laguna Beach. Everything was perfect!

We've stayed here several times before and is our favorite place to stay in the San Diego area. Charming building, friendly service although parking can be a big tight. Mini-market a few doors away where you can get food to cook. Fun place to stay!

We're so excited we're your place to stay when visiting San Diego. We do have a few parking spots in the back as well should the front be full. The backside parking tends to be quite a bit easier and quieter.

Hotel was unique and we liked that we could walk to the beach and a variety of restaurants. There were lots of footstep noises from the room next door which is to be expected in an older building. The cabinet door above the microwave needed repair. Staff was friendly and parking was easy

Very clean with the amenities we needed. Convenient parking right outside room. Simple checkin. Office manager answered our questions and was very helpful. Liked there were so many restaurants and bars in area. Simple to navigate - moat everything is on main strip. Walked to several beaches, although needed to drive to larger, sandy walkable ones. Great time. Thank you.

Very nice room, clean, comfortable beds, tiny bathroom, kitchenette. It looked as though there are hundreds of available channels on the television (we just watched a bit of the news, though.) Amazing places to eat nearby, close to Moonlight Beach. A couple of suggestions - a pedestal sink in the bathroom rather than the cabinet that gets wet from the shower, and at least one safety/grab bar in the shower. We will definitely stay here again. Mid-range price, convenient location, very comfortable, surprisingly quiet at night.

We just stayed for 1 night, but the location is nice. It’s walking distance to the beach and other stores and restaurants. Staff were very friendly. Would come back here if given the opportunity.

A great spot in Leucadia
This is one of my go-to places to stay in the area and I love the unique, intimate feel. It's an amazing location and the staff is always very helpful.

Easy to love
The building is an adorable, early 20th century spanish-style roadside inn on the outside with some less adorable more recent updates on the inside. The room was clean, the bed was comfy, there's a table to eat at and a small kitchen with an electric range, pots and pans and two table settings. It's right on the main drag so there is some road and amtrak/coaster noise that we found easy to ignore. Overall this place is great and we would absolutely stay here again. We love the area and the gentleman at the front desk was kind and helpful.

Best Gem to Stay
Always a calm peaceful stay. Very clean, nice little kitchenette area with real dishes, micro, minfrig, comfy bed, quiet, super little area with market, places to eat, and the friendliest host in town, Mr. Mark.

Not as advertised, avoid.
Rooms are overpriced as they are extremely small and parking is very limited among other inconveniences: The the stove in the kitchenette takes forever to heat, it is very dated; you get one spoon and 5 knifes, half fork. The room has no actual heating; a heater which requires an unsafe extension cord is provided. The bathroom is extremely small. The mattress is very uncomfortable. Paper thin walls you can hear people slamming doors. All other motels provide a card to access the room but here you get a key. There is a pet fee yet there are no water bowls or relief areas; let alone a park within reasonable walking distance. There is no actual close beach, rather a 30 min walk including some unsafe cliffs and it is full of pebbles and very dirty. Rude owner will harass you during your naps for being parked within one millimeter of the parking line yet at night he does not check for he humongous trucks using two entire parking spots. No disabled parking. There is a coaster train that makes noise at night that will wake you up at least twice. This is really more like a passing through one-night emergency stay, not an actual place to rest, you have to drive to get to amenities. I recommend a Motel 6 instead of this place so you don't feel like in european hostel. For the price they charge, buffet breakfast should be included. Avoid if possible.

I loved staying here. Very cute boutique motel near the beach. Quiet! My queen suite was ample sized. Very comfy bed. Table and chairs , kitchenette, full bath, full closet. Excellent location. Will definitely stay here again!!!
