"Our stay at The Unexpected Ibiza Hotel - Ushuaïa Club entrance included was extremely disappointing, especially considering this was our honeymoon.
The most serious issue was a dangerous safety incident: the shower glass door suddenly shattered without any external force, causing cuts and injuries to my hands and legs. This was extremely distressing and completely unacceptable for a hotel of this standard.
What made the situation worse was the hotel staff’s response. There was clear confusion among the team about how to handle the incident, causing delays at a time when immediate support was needed. At first, we were even told that if we needed hospital treatment, we would have to pay ourselves. Only after internal discussions did staff seem to understand their own procedures.
Room cleanliness and housekeeping were also below expectations. Used dishes were left in the room, items were not properly replaced, and overall maintenance did not reflect the quality expected from a premium hotel.
We had traveled all the way from Canada on a 15-hour flight for this trip, and due to the injuries and pain, we were unable to continue our plans and missed the opening event at Hï Ibiza, which was one of the main reasons for our visit.
Although the room was eventually changed, the overall handling of the situation left us feeling unsupported. This incident significantly affected our trip and what should have been a special experience.
