Overall, I loved my stay at Estes Park Adventure Hostel. It was quiet yet located within easy walking distance to town and 10 minutes away from Bear Lake road. Cleanliness could be stepped up a bit, especially in the showers and restrooms. I will definitely be back though!
It's a hostel. You get a bed, and that's it. No thrills, but it's clean, the beds are comfortable enough, and since I was just staying here to get acclimated before spending some days in the park, that's all I needed.
Walkable distance to the town Center and a big parking lot. However, no towels available in the hostel on the first two days of my stay.
Very nice and respectful people, felt very safe there.
Nice place right next to the Rocky Mountain National Park (literally less than 10min drive to the entrance).
It is self-service, but the manager is available quite easily. The kitchen is well-equipped.
Met a few nice people along the way.
Excellent location; comfortable lodging; convenient parking.
Many travelers who book far in advance don’t remember what bed number they booked, which results in a 10-45 minute delay. Would be much easier if emails from the hostel included assigned bed number.
I'd give a solid 4.4 stars. There was a staff member (Leo) who came out and offered to help me when I arrived. The room itself intrinsically is shared, but I was fortunate that only one other person was sleeping in the room that evening and he was nice. The bedding was clean, and the bathroom was clean. The showers were fairly clean, more dated than anything but I didn't feel unsafe at all and they had everything that's needed (of note, their soap smelled weird -- I used my own). I had a hard time sleeping as well, but I think my body was just off from the trip; do bring an eye mask though since you don't know when lights will be on, plus in my room I was right by the window and had to keep the window and curtains open a bit or else it got very warm-- thus there was additional light from outside. Overall though, this was a pretty decent hostel and I felt safe/it had plenty of parking. It had everything I needed really, I was comfortable. I would stay again.
Great location, great accommodations, and it was beautiful to sit out on the porch and read rock climbing magazines while the bands played just down the street (on Friday nights).
Very nice hostile, perfect for a group or one night

Worth it
Exactly what's expected of a hostel and full of folks who were serious hikers, cyclists or climbers. Plus a rocking bar with live music across the street.
This location is perfect for travelers on the go. While there isn’t much privacy, everyone was respectful of the shared space. The people I met were friendly and mostly kept to themselves. The host’s instructions were clear, detailed, and very helpful.
It’s in a great area—within walking distance to plenty of charming shops and local spots. I didn’t get much time to explore the national park, but I’d definitely stay here again if I’m back in town. Everything was clean, well-maintained, and made for a smooth, comfortable stay.
Basic, but everything you need and clean. Nice Hostel overall. If you are mostly interested in hiking and sightseeing then, this place is really easy on the budget. Great way to see the Rocky Mountains on a small budget.
