Beautiful home, well maintained, and a great experience. We felt at home and lucky to experience staying somewhere with so much character. It really feels like you’re in a different time. The breakfast was delicious and room was clean and comfortable. One slight negative was the water for the shower was temperamental…but everything else was perfect!

Great getaway! Lovely bed and breakfast in a beautiful walkable town. Quiet surroundings as you take a step back in time. Delicious breakfast! Best I’ve had all year. They care for the surroundings with great detail. This was a wonderful mother daughter weekend.

It was a cute and well located B&B. Property clean and can tell they keep it up. Only thing I will say is that they said breakfast was at 9am but didn’t get served until 9:15/9;20am but it was very good.

We loved our stay at the Gingerbread Mansion Inn. Our room was comfortable and beautifully maintained, and the entire inn had a warm, elegant Victorian ambience that made it feel like stepping back in time. The common areas were full of character, and the morning light filtering through the stained glass created a truly memorable atmosphere. Breakfast was wonderful. The gluten-free waffles were delicious, and we appreciated that dietary needs were accommodated without sacrificing quality. Everything felt thoughtfully prepared and served in a charming setting. Of all five overnight stops during our six-day Highway 1 road trip, Ferndale was our favorite town. It was cozy, welcoming, and full of historic charm. The beautifully preserved Victorian architecture, quiet streets, and relaxed pace made it feel like discovering a hidden gem. Gingerbread Mansion Inn was the perfect place to experience it. We would happily stay here again and would recommend both the inn and Ferndale to anyone looking for a unique Northern California getaway.

There was one main problem with our room - the bed was incredibly uncomfortable, the mattress fell into the middle and the bed creaked loudly every time you moved. We barely got any sleep. Also there was no soap or shampoo for the bath or the shower. The breakfast and hors d'oeuvres were very good. The hot water, shower and towels were quite good.

What a charming place. Loved the wine and cheese in the afternoon. Breakfast was homemade, original one of the best we have ever had. The staff was friendly and accommodating. We’ve stayed at a competing B&B nearby and the Gingerbread Mansion was far superior. Every detail is meticulously maintained. The staff is helpful and friendly. The daily wine and snacks as well as breakfast are delicious. We will make sure to stay at this property every time we are in the area.

The town is charming. The house is great example of Queen Anne Victorian with an amazing story. The Inn Keeper was friendly, took time out to make us feel welcome and the meal she cooked for us was flawless! We plan to return.

Magical Stay at the Gingerbread Mansion

Our stay here was a delight. The attention to detail given to the property is remarkable and made for a magical stay here. The customer service, cocktail hour and breakfast were equally impressive. Our evening walk through Ferndale was enchanting. This place makes the endorphins flow!!!
