MISLEADING REVIEW FROM MS. CROCKER - It’s a breakfast issue with Ms. Crocker’s disappointment not the lack of attention from our beautifully restored and maintained 1809 Federal Style property. Ms. Crocker was convinced that breakfast should have been included in her rate as she claimed it is what they do in England, her country of origin. We like to be fair and we ask the same in return and to treat others with respect, unlike this unreasonable review. With nearly a perfect score on Google Reviews of 4.9 out of 5 stars, we can safely boast our excellence in hospitality services. We have been in business for over 10 years creating our brand from the ground up. We run this family boutique hotel with a sense of pride and excellence. We have been members of Select Registry for over a decade which require high standards in all departments from cleanliness to decor to services to amenities. In addition, we maintain the prestigious AAA 4-Diamond Award to this day. We are also proud of our Trip Advisor Excellence Award with over 300 positive reviews, the number ONE hotel in Exeter. Having said that, receiving a negative review is out of character, this is simply not who we are, we embrace excellence, even with hard-to-please people like Ms. Crocker. We would not have left the smallest detail out when it comes to cleanliness, with over 28,000 inspected hotels, only about 25% earn the AAA Inspector’s Best of Housekeeping Award, which we proudly showcase at our property. We feature concierge services, finely appointed suites, custom-made draperies, luxurious linens, adequate lighting, working fireplaces (which act as heaters), oil paintings and period antiques throughout our luxurious property. You will find pristine flower arrangements and manicured gardens throughout the property, homemade chocolate truffles and cookies with the state-of-the-art coffee and tea maker in the common room and a majestic hand-painted mural in the foyer with a grandfather clock that reminds us of an era gone by to elevate your experience when you stay with us.
