The house keeping staff was fantastic! But the state of the hotel is sad. No exhaust fan in the bathroom so when you get out of the shower the walls are wet from condensation. The popcorn ceiling above the tub/ shower was peeling off and hanging down from the dry wall. The shower curtain rod was coming falling off the wall at one end. There was missing drywall which has molded in the bathroom. There was a burn mark on the carpet from the iron. Carpet did not feel clean and there were dead crickets on the floor. The mattress covers were stained on the sides. There was a mildew smell in the room due to the humidity due to the lack of an exhaust fan. Mattresses were very firm. Hotel could benefit from a lot of updating.

Had to stay here.
Decent stay in an old motel. They are still in COVID-mode so if you don't want any personal contact or breakfast this is the place for you. And bring your own pillow! Only motel that shows up on Hotels.com in Fairfield so they don't have to strive for excellence I guess.

It was the closest place to where we needed to be for a fureral. On first sight of the room it seemed ok we were not expecting a Hampton inn,but i discovered the sheet on the box spring had a sheet on it that had vomit on it on the third day,but the proprietary person did wait for us to get in late at midnight

Property lacked basic maintenance. Found electric shock hazard near the bed and the shower drained slowly. Check in/out conducted through a glass window... Not serving breakfast, due to COVID...

Rude manager
Toilet was leaking which we didnt mind they brought extra towels but floor was constantly wet in there so you had to be careful. Manager argued with me on second day telling me i never told him i was staying 2 days when i asked him many times about what he charged me, about the checkout date on the receipt, etc. He was rude but the cleaning ladies were SUPER friendly and helpful. Very respectful and made sure you were comfortable with everything.

I recall when this motel was built. Like all new places, it was fine. Not fancy, but well maintained. Now, under current ownership, cleanliness is the main problem. Carpeting was not well vacuumed, and was honestly dirty. The "easy" chair upholstery was filthy. I could almost overlook that. The thing I could NOT overlook was roaches. When I returned to the room at 11 pm, there were roaches crawling on and under the door, and also on the nightstand. Given the lack of other options in the immediate area, I just stayed dressed, rested a few hours, and then left before daybreak.

The front desk clerk was not friendly or welcoming. We felt we were putting him out. I did not need to sign any paper work. Odd. There was an annoying odor in the motel. Curry? The toilet was not secured to the floor. Bed was hard. Stale packaged rolls and coffee brewed in a filthy pot. Paid way too much Left early.

The property is the same as when it was built. The heater in the bedroom was not working; a space heater was put in the room the following day.

Please don’t stay at this hotel.
The night clerk was cold and rude. He just asked for my credit card and drivers license, swiped the credit card, handed me a key told me my room number said good night and left. The room was wore out, you could tell that the carpets had not been cleaned in a long time, the bed linens were shrunk and wore out, and all of the towels had burnt places all over them. I did not feel clean at all during this entire stay.

The signage looked fine outside but inside the property was dirty and not well maintained. The sheets were stained yellow even on one half of the bed.

Nothing fancy but sufficient
Dated motel and nothing fancy but served our purpose for a place to lay our heads for the night for nearby funeral. Clean and comfortable beds.

This was a last minute stop on our way home from Florida. One last leg of the trip so when we finally decided to stop, this was our option. We checked in later in the evening. Rang bell for service. A gentlemen came out - no real conversation. Room was adequate for what we needed. Due to covid, no breakfast offered. The gentlemen we ran into that was cleaning the next morning was very chatty and pleasant.

It’s the only place in town worthy of sleeping inn. The best part was the diner next door. It wasn’t filthy but a run down motel can only get so clean. It desperately needs a renovation. I wasn’t disappointed because I didn’t expect much. If you need to stay in Fairfield it’s the best option.

Staff was good. The cleaning service had some very nice people. Bob is super friendly and Karen is extremely kind, generous, and thoughtful.
