La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Madera
8/10 Good
"Hotel staff were friendly and professional, checking in was quick. Our room was clean and comfortable, although the sliding bathroom door would get off track when closed all the way. I got stuck and couldn't open door my husband to help open from other side, had I been alone not sure how I would have gotten out. Motion sensor on sink faucet would stay on and we would have to turn water off under the sink at times. I like that hotel was pet as I travel with my Chihuahua, would be nice if there was a small grassy area for dogs. Overall stay was good."

"We came to town for a wedding. Had we only stayed the 1st night (Friday) I'd have a more positive review, unfortunately night 2 was less impressive. First impression - parking was terrible. The lot is a narrow triangle & most of the spots could not accommodate our vehicle. There were a total of 14 spots but 18 rooms. Check-in was easy & smooth. Staff was friendly. Opening the room door - wonderful! It was spacious, clean & modern. A/C worked well. Bathroom was great, large walk-in shower. Beds were very comfortable & the room on its own left nothing to be bothered by. For the price, we were pleased. It's on a busy road (for a small town) so there is road noise, but we slept well. Night 2, however, left us disappointed. When we returned for the night, there was no parking. Every spot was full. I asked the desk & she said to go up the street & park in the neighborhood. Really didn't care for that. Also, the room beside us (room 101 - right outside the office doors) had a VERY loud party full of guests singing karaoke, lots of loud conversation & women cackling with howling laughter. Finally, about 1:00am I banged on the wall. That seemed to help a bit, but I was left with the impression that the 'party room' was full of people connected to the staff. Being just out the office, there is NO way the staff didn't know what was happening in there. In fact, when there was no parking she said "one of the rooms had more than 1 vehicle" and I suspect she knew why. Disappointed."

"Staf was helpful when lamp plug didn't work. They found an extension cord to help. Breakfast was basic with mostly carb type food. Sparse."
Villa Alamari Inn And Suites

"We arrived on a super-hot afternoon in mid-September but check-in was quick and easy. There seemed to be plenty of parking. The room was well furnished with the only ding being a floor that wasn't especially clean. Kerman is close to a lot of agriculture and it was hot and dusty outside, so not a big deal. The A/C worked well. The market next door has the same owner as the motel and had the best beef quesadillas I've ever tasted. What do I know, I'm a pasty white guy from Connecticut. Overall, it was a pleasant experience with a location that fit into our plans."
