"My Wife & I picked the Omni because it is close to our daughters apt although it's a little more expensive that we would normally choose. It has a lovely pool, the lobby goes on forever & features several snack/drink options. It also has activity areas for children. Our room was comfortable with nice shower. Our 1rst morning about 8:45 there was a lotta noise. When my wife opened the curtain to see we were surprised to find a man on scaffold 2 feet away. Later at the pool we observed many such occurrences on the other side of the building. Perhaps this was necessary but a heads-up might have been nice. Parking in the area is tough & valet is higher than we would choose."
"My first time at this hotel, and it will be the last time. The hotel isn't that bad, and the rooms are fairly clean. What kills this hotel is the staff, especially the staff at the front desk. First of all...NO ONE answers the phone if you call the front desk. 2nd....some of the people there have an ATTITUDE towards anyone who is having a problem. My main problem was I couldn't get the AC in the room to work. I came down to the front desk to complain and the front desk told me to talk to someone else. They accused me of using "bad language" when all I said was I can't get the "Damn AC in the room to work!" And because NO ONE answers the phone if you call them from a room....you have to go down to the first floor and talk to the front desk. Eventually after 45 minutes a man from maintenance showed up and got the AC working. However....later that night I found it was too cold, but the controls won't really work except if you shut the thing off.
Finally...when I checked out...I came down to the front desk at 9am along with a couple who also wanted to check out. There was NO ONE at the front desk. So....I left my key cards on their front desk computer keyboard and left.
It's not just the staff. IT IS THE MANAGEMENT of this hotel. They won't fix the rooms with the heating and AC problems ( tons of bad reviews on Google on this ) and they let some of their employees either be lazy or have an attitude.
In my opinion....stay away from this hotel."
"This is my go to when in Foggy Bottom and usually I have a good experience. This time was no exception. A few comments though for improvement. Where the coffee maker is positioned in the room is extremely difficult to access, pour in water, or use. This time around I moved it to the bathroom and that was a good workaround. The k-cups in the room stink unless you like a very light coffee. Wish they would put in a medium or bold blend instead of light. Next time I will bring my own. The window sill in the room is in need of repair. It has a very ugly appearance. I've noticed this in other rooms I've stayed at here, too. The lighting in the room was terrible. Only one bottle of water is supplied for a 2-person room -- so bring a bottle for the second person. And please bring back the warm cookies at check-in!"
"This place is very clear. The staff were concerned about my wellbeing. When I first arrived, they told me about the meal plan, the event, and the policy. I didn't get breakfast maybe because I didn't pay for that but not a day someone came to my room with breakfast or told me about it. My room was clean all time. Moral room however, the room is very small and only good for a single person who wants to enjoy downtown of DC."
