"I think it's mainly a staffing issue. After our first night we were out all day the next day. We came back to the room and it hadn't been cleaned. While we were still getting ready for dinner, the cleaning person came. It was probably 5:30. We weren't quite ready and she looked exhausted after I said we weren't quite ready, so I suggested she come back the next day instead and just give us some fresh towels. The next day we were out a lot of the day again and when we got back they had refreshed towels and emptied trash, but didn't make the bed or clean. So we actually never got our room cleaned. I imagine they start on the checked out rooms first, so that's why ours was later, but after 3 nights there it was just odd to not have a cleaned room."

"Everything was great. My only suggestion is that - sadly the pastry nook is closed. There isnt an option for a coffee bar complimentary. I had to get coffee from the restaurant for my partner when he was sick- I bought two coffees so he would not have to make a trip and it was over $20 for a couple of coffees (I got one). I was like - this is kinda silly. And parking valet is the only option if not on the street parking and that is $65 a night. So it was wonderful but - it would be great if those little things were complimentary. The food was good at the restaurant. Not great but good. The best thing besides the view from our room - was the staff is very good. Everyone is VERY good. Maybe I could say - they are great. The lady who checked us in - the cleaning team- anyone I asked for anything - the doormen (doorpeople) - the people in the restaurant and bars. Very good staff. The hotel is a little "dated" but I hope it stays kinda retro because it is a historic hotel. I just hope they somehow do something even if they have to add $20 a night to the rooms - to have the valet parking be free and give the visitors a free coffee barn downstairs. My room only had one coffee cup and no milk so making coffee in the room did not work."
