"I rarely leave negative reviews, but my recent stay at Karibea Valmeniere Hotel has been, without question, the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had.
First, the Wi-Fi has apparently been down for weeks with no clear plan to fix it—completely unacceptable, especially for a hotel charging these rates. My wife and I, along with several other guests, were left waiting over 6 hours just to get into our room. There was no communication, no urgency, and absolutely no effort to accommodate us during that time.
The customer service only made things worse. The staff was consistently rude and unhelpful. At one point, after hours of waiting, I asked for something as simple as a cup of coffee and was told I would have to pay for it. Not even a complimentary glass of water was offered while we waited.
To top it off, all on-site restaurants were closed until 7 PM, leaving us with no food options during a long and exhausting wait.
For $250 a night, this experience is beyond disappointing—it’s unacceptable. Travelers, beware: this hotel is not worth your time or money.
I will never return, and in my opinion, it doesn’t even deserve a single star."
"The pool was great! The ONLY negative thing about the stay was the WIFI - while it worked, we were unable to send or receive imessages on our iphones; neither could we access Facebook. We would have to walk over next door to the sister property, B&B HOTEL to use their WIFI. We believe that this was caused by the "Chart Wifi" that B&B HOME uses."
"The actual resort was beautiful but other than the pool and beach, there was nothing else to do. The food was okay. This is not a great travel destination for Americans, unless fluent in French. The American was flying inverted, which made us stay at the resort and not travel outside. Overall, pretty resort and that is the only positive I can provide."
"I think I happened upon one of the best overall hotels on the island. The location is great because it is right on one of the better maintained popular beaches with several nearby food options and a small grocery store. My room was an upper room overlooking the beach and bay. Because it is a popular beach, it was difficult to find a parking spot in the hotel parking lot during the weekend days, but spaces became available in the evening.
The room was very clean and well maintained. It was very quiet at night, all you hear is the waves on the beach. I recommend the nearby sushi place and pizzaria. Great hotel."
"I had a wonderful stay at La Maison Clémentine. The atmosphere is peaceful and relaxing, with beautiful surroundings and a lovely Caribbean breeze. It was a perfect place to rest and adjust before boarding my cruise.
The owner was incredibly kind and went out of her way to make my stay easy even though I do not speak French. Her help and warmth made me feel very welcome and comfortable.
Sitting outside listening to the birds and enjoying the quiet was a highlight of my time in Martinique.
Thank you for such a lovely stay — I would happily return."
