Quaint place on the Bay, delicious fast breakfast pizza at the upstairs bar/restaurant and wonderful crunchy grouper for dinner below. Loved the fresh new rooms!

Loved that they called to let us know the room was ready. We stayed in a queen suite. No door between the two rooms so more like a studio. Plenty of room for the two of us but might be small if you plan on using the sleeper sofa. No place to sit luggage except on floor. Kitchen was stocked and clean. All furniture was nice. Couch, table, chairs, dresser, outdoor table and chairs. Bed was very firm. Pool and hot tub were nice. Towels available at lobby. No maid service. View and location were fantastic. Petes’ bar was convenient. Laundry and ice available. Penny was very knowledgeable about the area. We will definitely stay here again.

Hidden charge of $25 per night service charge, no pool towels, pretty spendy (over $300) for a place you can hear others in the next room,,,,,like throwing up! A positive, you can walk to Fort Myers Beach. My bad for not doing better research. We would not stay here again.

This property was attractive and convenient to a lot of restaurants. The pool was warm and had some sun and shade. I love being on a canal and watching the boats. All and all, Matanzas was wonderful!

Matanzas liegt sehr zentral und doch ruhig- zum Strand sind es nur ca. 10 Minuten zu Fuß. Wir fanden es auch toll, dass man umsonst parken konnte, denn in dieser Lage zahlt man sonst etwa 15 Dollar. Unser 'Ferienhaus ' (war 1 großes Zimmer) hatte eine Küche mit guter Ausstattung.

The pillows and bedding were nice. The room very was clean. I am picky about details. The door handles and light switches were clean. This small detail is often overlooked. Thank you to the staff for preparing the room as if your family was staying there.

Loved our stay. Very friendly and efficient staff. Nice location on a canal. Good-sized rooms. Very clean. Could have used some coffee, cream, sugar etc. and a hair dryer in the room, otherwise we were very satisfied.

Lovely, small local place on the Bay. Owners have worked hard to restore and redo after the hurricane and it shows. Rooms are simple, but immaculate, all redone. Grounds and pool are very nice, with a great bar and restaurant adjacent to the property. We were delighted to support a local business and would definitely stay there again.

We loved our stay. The room was clean and quiet. The pool area was lovely and kept very clean. Walking distance to beach and restaurants. We will be back, probably in a bigger room with a balcony next trip. Highly recommend.

Very nice to have an on premise restaurant/bar serving lunch and dinner. Had live music each night I was there. Employees very helpful with local recommendations.

Enjoyed being able to sit at water’s edge and enjoy view and bird sounds. Staff kindness was great! Downside was loud traffic/garbage truck noise, older construction was cleaned up but still old appearing, poor tv service/clarity, poor coffee option, unable to vent bathroom well.

We stayed two nights. It was clean and very comfortable. Quiet and easy walk to beach. Nice bar with good pizza on site, entertainment was nice. Staff was great. Will definitely be back.

This is a great place to stay on Fort Myer's Beach. Rooms are very nice and clean, very friendly staff and just all around wonderful location for walking around the island. Would highly recommend.

The staff was super friendly, the hot tub was hot just like they said and we had a cute little villa to ourselves. Location was easy to walk to food and beaches. We were just passing thru so only stayed 1 night.

Disappointing Stay at Matanzas Inn My recent visit to Matanzas Inn was quite disheartening. Right from the start, my room was plagued with an unpleasant odor that made it difficult to relax. This issue alone significantly impacted my comfort during the stay. Moreover, the Hotel Office area was filled with a strong cigarette smell, which was quite bothersome, especially for non-smokers like myself. This made any time spent in the office area rather unpleasant. A notable inconvenience was the lack of proper curtains in the room. The existing blinds failed to block out the light effectively, resulting in a brightly lit room at night and disrupting my sleep. What truly astounded me was the lack of basic amenities like room service. Being informed that we had to request essentials like towels or toilet paper ourselves was quite surprising and, frankly, unacceptable for a hospitality establishment. This lack of service was not only inconvenient but also a clear indicator of poor customer care. In summary, the quality of the services and facilities at Matanzas Inn does not justify the price. The combination of these issues made my stay far from enjoyable, and it's safe to say that the inn falls short of basic hospitality standards.
