"I can’t think of anything wrong We try to check in a little early, but we weren’t able to which is fine. We went to eat lunch. We did a day trip but we spend the night. Shuttle bus…LOVE IT Brian was excellent. Rooms are excellent. Beds, blanket, sheets, pillow I must say one of the best. Breakfast was, according to my friends was really really good. I believe them, but I don’t eat pork so I had your delicious potatoes and oatmeal."

"Beautiful historic hotel with "old world charm," named after the first permanent European settler in Iowa, Julien Dubuque. The rooms are spacious and exceptionally clean with modern accessories (coffee marker, TV). Caroline's restaurant, located in the building and named after a local who took over her husband's ice cutting business in 1875, is a wonderful, cozy restaurant offering filets, salmon, etc. cooked to perfection with slight variations to the usual. With reasonable rates, Hotel Julien is also within walking distance of businesses and the aquarium museum downtown!"

"Only one con, no elevators. If you’re handicapped or can’t do stairs make sure you are not on floors 3 or 4. Rooms were clean, bed was comfortable, bathroom was clean, food was decent."

"The property is beautiful. We had a Victorian style room on the ground floor. We were surprised how big the room was and the whirlpool tub was amazing. The only negative was the uncomfortable bed. Other than that our stay was wonderful."

"Stayed one night on a Saturday. Property is large but secluded right off the main road. Room was nice sized with large TV. Pool was closed but pool area looked very nice. Went to attached lounge for food which was ok. Bar a little rowdy but Iowa football was on. Breakfast choices were good. Was able to park right outside our room."
