Nice location close to everything and the balcony was a nice feature. Everything was modern and clean. Breakfast was good but the lounge didn't really offer any food to go with a drink after a long day, which would have been nice. The Mediterranean restaurant next door had great food though. ;) Rooms were a bit small but overall it was really good.

We had a very pleasant stay. The staff were friendly and helpful and assisted in familiarizing us with the location and gave great recommendations for food/nearby activities. Our room was clean and comfortable with a lovely view.

Great location

A clean, comfortable and friendly hotel in an excellent location for exploring the beautiful old city of Freiburg. I would be very happy to stay here again. The room is fairly small, but there’s plenty of room for what is needed.

This hotel is perfectly located with hiking, shopping, restaurants, and groceries all close by. Despite not speaking German, we had no problem checking in or getting around town. The beds were comfortable and rooms were clean. If I had one request, it would be a coffee maker in the room

Would definitely come back!

Motel One was perfect! It is right at the edge of the city center and close to three or four good garages. The hotel is modern and nice, and the rooms are comfortable and clean.

I reserved a room with a king bed and was given a room with a queen bed. After the first night I went to the front desk to confirm my suspicions. Indeed, I was correct. Hospitality dictates that the hotel accept some responsibility and possibly offers a small compensation. Instead, the excuse was to blame everything on Expedia, end of story.

Also bei Ankunft wurde erfragt, ob wir eventuell die gebuchten Zimmer (wir waren 3 Paare) auf einer Etage beieinander haben könnten -Antwort:“Naja sie kommen zu spät und da haben Sie Pech“. Es wurde nicht erklärt, wo es am nächsten Tag Frühstück gibt bzw. ein WLAN Code aktiv herausgegeben. Die Zimmer waren megaklein, das Bettlaken mit Flecken und es gibt nicht einmal einen Kühlschrank. Kaffeebecher findet man im Bad, aber eine Kaffeemaschine sucht man vergebens. Das Frühstück lässt sehr viele Wünsche offen, da es keinerlei warme Speisen wie z.B. Rührei und Würstchen gibt. Wir waren sehr enttäuscht für diesen doch sehr hohen Zimmerpreis. Das Personal an der Rezeption hat dem Ganzen mit völliger Inkompetenz noch die Krone aufgesetzt, als von uns nach weiteren Parkmöglichkeiten gefragt wurde… sorry aber wir kommen definitiv nie wieder.
