Besonders schönes und großes Zimmer mit einem großem Bad. Die Ausstattung war sehr gut, lediglich das Jacuzzi funktionierte nicht. Dafür funktionierte die Dusche hervorragend, was ich in Afrika nur selten erlebt habe.

NOT a nice experience
The place was quite nice, I was staying for a week so I became a familiar face. All the time the houselady would ennoy me and ask me to go to the supermarket to buy her cola. Everyday she would ask me over and over again to get her some. I didn't really felt a lot of privacy since all the time someone came knocking for some reason. I was also quite upset THEY RIPPED ME OFF with the taxi from the airport. The hotel arranged it for me, so one would think it is a fair price but THEY CHARGED THE DOUBLE AMOUNT. Also the last day they really pushed me out of my room at 9h30am, while the check out was stated to be at 10am

Dear Emiel, First and foremost I apologize for the way you were treated while you were our guest. What you are describing above is totally unacceptable. I meet and greeted you several times during your week long stay with us and wish you had raised this with me while you were still hear. Soliciting gifts from guests is not acceptable, I can confirm to you that we now have a policy that staff cannot accept gifts from guests unless approved by the manager. I again apologise for this. Regarding the taxi charges, please note that official ( ie licenced) taxis operating between the airport and the city charge between P150 and P200 one way. We use a fully licenced taxi company and DO NOT RIP OFF OUR CLIENTS. I can confirm that all guests using our approved operator pay P100 one way if paid cash directly to the taxi driver or P120 if paid by credit card at our reception. I have checked with the taxi company and i am told you were charged P100, we believe this is fair charge. We are aware that there are a number of unlicensed operators that charge P50 to P100 for the same journey. Due to the inherent risks, we do not recommend them to our guests. Ours is only a recommendation, the guest is not obliged to take it. We will emphasis this last point in our transport recommendations to guests in future. We thank you for your feedback.

Quiet, central B&B
I was one of two guests, with a room opening onto a lovely garden with weaver birds building their nests. Warm welcome from Joyce, good breakfast. Feels very safe. I came and went by hire car - convenient location. Very good alternative to a hotel

The house was very nice, but had no heat turned on. The room never warmed up after running the wall heater all night.

Capital guest house
Comfortable accommodation but cold. Breakfast room open to garden. No cafeteria for meals apart from breakfast. My booking said free bottle water but after one small bottle on arrival I was denied further bottles even though I was there for three nights. Not a very convenient location. The housekeeper Joyce was helpful booking taxis and ordering a takeaway.

Lovely Guesthouse
The guesthouse is very clean and modern. The breakfast was great - bacon, sausage, juice, coffee, eggs (made to order), toast. This is a very cute home with lovely accommodations. The lady arranged a cab for us to go out to dinner and helped us with the shower and also brought us extra coffee to our room after breakfast. We stayed only one night as we returned from safari and were flying out of Gaborone the next day. I would highly recommend The Capital Guesthouse.

Convenient and Comfortable.
I usually prefer the anonymity of a larger hotel, but this small guesthouse managed to make it feel like I could come and go without comment. The garden rooms are a little small, but perfectly comfortable and contain a desk. Joyce was very helpful and pleasant and always available for assistance. The linen was spotless and the bed very comfortable. Breakfast was varied and good. During the week the resident chef can be alerted to supply lunch and/or dinner. I didn't get to use the lounge or other public areas, but all looked comfortable and conducive to work or leisure.

Very good place to be in Gabs. Come back again
The place is not at downtown Gabs, but the location is very quiet and looked safe while we were there. The staff is very responsible and concerned about the guests. Definitely a good experience with them. They gave us good advices about places to go and told us a little bit about the country during small talks. It was amazing! If you are by car it's possible to see the whole city in one day. Go in other day to the Mokolodi, the price is fair and it's a good experience when in Gabs. When I come back to Gabs I go definitely to The Capital Guesthouse. The wifi is not that fast, but it works. The pool is good so, but the weather was rainy when we were there. The breakfast is very good and made with care. People in the kitchen was always there to help you.

Wonderful staff; great guesthouse experience.
If you want a more personalized stay in Gaborone, in an attractive residential community not too far from city center (and with transportation easily arranged) this is a fine choice. Under the friendly and attentive care of Joyce, the earnest on-site housekeeper (originally from Francistown), and Sechaba, the talented and personable chef (an enthusiastic Motswana born in Lesotho; on-site meals beyond breakfast are a fun option), the Capital Guesthouse is a delightful change from the typical hotel experience. There is also a high probability of meeting fascinating and informative fellow guests, often working on assignment in Gaborone. Guesthouses are not for everyone, but if you want a break from hotels without sacrifice of comfort and with plenty of privacy, this is an excellent choice.

Relax in comfort and privacy
We enjoyed our stay at the Gaborone Guest house immensely. The staff were very accommodating and friendly. Joyce was especially kind and helpful. The place was clean, safe and very comfortable.

Vi var de eneste fire gjestene på stedet. Fikk god service og bra rom vendt mot en hyggelig have med basseng. Frokosten ble servert på en overbygget terrasse, veldig hyggelig. Stedet var både sjarmerende og intimt. Veldig lett å kjøre dit med bil. Selv fikk jeg ikke gjort noe særlig da jeg var dårlig.

A Wonderful Place
The owner and the staff are very friednly and caring. We felt at home in this guesthouse. It is not far away from all points of interest in Gabarone.

Pleasant, well located guest house. Solid service/breakfast. No on site restaurant nor waiting taxis. Pool could use a cleaning.

Wonderful stay
We had a lovely time at the Capital Guesthouse. Our room was clean and beautifully presented and we felt safe at the hotel. Joyce (the house keeper) was an absolute star and looked after us really well. We had our breakfasts outside in the patio area by the swimming pool everyday which was a real treat. The only downside is the lack of options for eating out in the evenings. The hotel should do more to provide guests with information and tips.

Great place in Gaborone!
Stayed here two nights last week and it was a great place. Joyce (the duty manager) and Lets (the overall manager) very extremely helpful and any little thing which came up was sorted out very quickly. They even had a taxi driver lined up for me to get around Gaborone and drop me to and from the bus station once I requested this. The place itself is beautiful with nice rooms and great TV which you could watch Premiership soccer on. There is a mall nearby for groceries and eateries and it isn't too far from the CBD. To cap it all off, when I had to leave very early to go to Pretoria, Joyce even gave me a wrapped breakfast! Highly recommended!

A great getaway for couples. The stay was just interrupted by a Gaborone problem of water shortage otherwise its a beautiful place. Maybe investing in a borehole could alleviate the situation

Pretty good hotel
This small hotel has very nice rooms with open access to the garden. My only issue with the room was that it was covered in ants. The location was great, for access and not on a busy street. But the staff... The staff were remarkably rude and unhelpful. Basically everything the staff did went wrong, from making breakfast on time (or at all), calling taxis was a total fail (I was seriously late for a meeting and the airport on 2 occasions), intentionally waking me up at the crack of dawn for no reason, and most of all just being rude, unfriendly and unhelpful ALL the time. This hotel has a lot of potential, but the staff were a total fail, and frankly really unpleasant.

Great Accommodation
The management and staff were extremely accommodating and friendly. They went out of their way to provide small extras that made the stay more comfortable and more convenient. I would certainly recommend staying here to others.

Wir wurden besonders nett empfangen, liebevoll und kompetent betreut, wir haben uns wie zu Hause gefühlt! Wir durften sogar unsere Gäste mitnehmen und gemeinsam den Pool genießen! Lets, der Eigentümer, hat uns alle Wünsche erfüllt und uns beraten, was wir unternehmen könnten. Beim Frühstück auf der Terrasse haben sich nette Gespräche ergeben und unser kleiner Sohn hat Freundschaft mit den beiden Kindern anderer Gäste geschlossen und ausgiebig den Pool genützt, was bei der Hitze eine echte Wohltat war! Wir würden nur mehr bei Lets wohnen, wenn wir wieder nach Gaborone kommen!

Nice lodge close to airport and city
Beautiful lodge in lovely grounds with garden and swimming pool; was a nice surprise as did not know what to expect. Specious comfortable bedroom with tea and coffee making facilities, shower, aircon, french doors, nice bed. Proprietor and staff very helpful, recommended a driver who drove me around town for 2 hours; 15 min from the airport. Was very comfortable and felt secure. Had to leave early to catch a morning flight so didn't have a chance to have breakfast (wasn't offered an alternative, which is my only gripe). Would recommend.
