This is an exceptional hotel in many ways. The heritage character and friendly staff are highlights. The design and antiques are exquisite. While the bedrooms are small they are quirky and well appointed. And you can treat the whole common areas of the hotel as your comfortable home. Breakfast is outstanding served as a sequence of local treats. We enjoyed it everyday of our stay.

Rooms was really clean and nicely presented. The breakfast was amazing! Location is perfect and all the extra bits like the welcome drink and ice towel topped it off. Would highly recommend.

I loved my stay at The Prince of Galle. The hotel was well-located down a fairly quiet street, near some cute cats, and a 30 second walk to Galle’s spectacular sunset. As a woman travelling alone, I felt very safe and looked after by the exceptional team who couldn’t do more to help. This hotel (and their cinnamon French toast) was one of my highlights in my trip to Sri Lanka.

Property was beautifully kept and maintained, it was also spotlessly clean. Staff were lovely and very helpful with a great level of English. Then there was the breakfast, or Bregustation, event. This is delicious and a unique offering in a city of uniqueness, do build time in for this if you stay there. If you are staying elsewhere in Galle or the area, it is well worth booking in and paying extra for, all courses hand prepared to order and full of taste and meaning. Thoroughly recommended!!
