We booked the panoramic double room, with a terrace and ocean view. The room was clean, small, but we knew that when booking as we wanted a room with a terrace and view. The staff were so friendly and attentive. Helped us get a taxi to the airport and allowed for a late checkout, since no one was staying in our room after us. The rooftop terrace is the perfect place to enjoy the sunset, breeze and watch the people walking on the fort paths.

Old Charm

I loved this hotel. It was old with lots of charm and located just across the street from the fort wall. It was next to Pedler Street with great shopping. Breakfast was really good with an amazing array of fruit. Overall, this is a great hotel.

The team at the Bartizan is the absolute best. We truly enjoyed the welcome (and the departure) and couldn't recommend this hotel more for those staying in Galle. Make sure to book a room with a view of the Indian Ocean!

The Bartizan's rooms were spacious and clean. The bathroom was gorgeous. The breakfast was generous, and we were given a packed breakfast on the day we left early. The staff were very attentive. It is located on the coast and walkable to loads of shops and restaurants. It was our favourite hotel in the two weeks we spent in Sri Lanka.
