This hotel and the Skeff restaurant & bar downstairs is a Victorian gem. Our room was nicely appointed and the service was very friendly. Lots of energy and fun in the bar at night. Maybe not the best place for light sleepers on evenings with live music. Great location near town center/train station and the most interesting pedestrian areas in town.

The property was ideally located in Eye Square. It was easy to walk to everything from the hotel. The staff was really nice and attentive. While the attached bar was super convenient, I was in one of the square-facing rooms, and the noise from the bar and from people outside was pretty noticeable. It made it difficult to sleep and you definitely needed earplugs (which the hotel provided). I also wish the room had a fridge available.

The hotel is centrally located to see all the sights of Galway. The rooms were a good size with all the amenities. The staff were incredibly helpful and went out of their way to be helpful. I was celebrating an anniversary and they went out of their way to make it special. The bar is directly below the hotel which can be good or bad. They have live music most nights and it is a happening spot. If you need quiet to sleep, then this is not the hotel for you. However we stayed in the second floor and it didn’t keep up awake. Overall I would recommend and I would stay again.

The restaurant attached to the hotel is gorgeous and delicious, but be aware that it is also a night club that goes until 2am. Luckily, the rooms come with earplugs.

The hotel is close to everything and parking is available which the hotel provides a great explanation of how to access. Despite it being a late night venue our room was very quiet and we enjoyed breakfast that was available - really good value. Would recommend’
