Very welcoming the staff are so helpful the rooms are very clean its very convenient and within walking distance to downtown gettysburg. I would highly recommend this motel and definitely stay here again i would rate my experience 10 out of 10.

I'm going to be honest. I love Gettysburg and all that's there but this hotel needs a major overhaul. What do I mean.by an overhaul is bathroom needs to be gutted and made modern along with everything else . The mattress is horrible and you can't really sleep due to how janky it is . Forget sleep with your significant other as you both will be pulled to the middle of the bed .the only thing I noticed that was updated in the room was the linoleum floor that was it . This place is stuck in the 70s . I don't hate the place as I like it due to it's in a location where you can walk to everything.

I have never rented a hotel room that was more dirty then this one. There must have been loose hair from 8 different people caked on the bathroom floor and the drains were clogged. Being a old/outdated hotel is fine, but being old and dirty is unacepptable.

This vintage hotel was built in the est. 1940's and still uses a key on a keyring. (No plastic cards) It is a basic bath, bed, tv, place to rest at the end of a day site seeing the battlefield. Nothing fancy! It was clean, no bad smells, the bed was comfortable and shower was hot. The staff was friendly and attentive to whatever we needed. If you can overlook the dated blue tub & sink, (which I loved) and less than pristine condition then this place is good. Walk to shops, places to eat & drink, and visit history right across the street. The Budget Host was a good deal for this senior couple living on a budget!

The location on Steinwehr is absolutely ideal, quite close to the battlefield and several places to eat and shop. The room was a little dark, could use upgrades on the lighting. Staff was friendly and fixed a broken doorknob immediately and with a smile.

Location was great to Gettysburg National Military Park and shopping, etc. Sheets were stained, not enough electrical outlets in room, sink backed up and strained very slowly, advertised breakfast did not occur. Area was very quiet which was nice.

Found someone's trash in the desk drawer ( candy wrappers, etc.)'., lamp had a burned out bulb. The TV didn't work. They were VERY apologetic and worked quickly to fix the TV problem. We didn't mention the bulb as we weren't going to use the lamp anyway. No place to plug in a hair dryer either.

My room appeared to have two generations of heating units, neither of which worked. It was 62 degrees in my room and when I went to the office, a man locking up told me he was "officially off the clock." No help. No heat.

Outdated. Within a half an hour of checking in someone came to my door asking if I saw $300 sunglasses on the check in counter and then asked about drugs. Walls are very thin and the people in the room next to me were pretty loud.

The price point was great. But you get what you pay for. The space is incredibly dated. The room was dark. Only had dim lamps. The door had 3 locks, which was great since 1 didn't work effectively. The door didn't go to the floor, so we stuck a towel around to prevent cold air from getting in. Also the heat didn't work properly. The room was clean. The TV worked. The staff were very friendly. The location was great. Within walking distance of many attractions.

Customer service was poor- the attendant at the front desk took a personal call AND took a call from their boss while checking us in and was yelling at both people because they “didn’t feel good”. Cleanliness was okay- clean towels and blankets, but the shower walls had dirt grime on them and there was small black facial or pubic hair in the tub. There were facial hair trimmings around the sink. Thankfully we didn’t need to use the air conditioner, but it appeared to have visible black mildew in it. Beds were comfortable, room only had about 3 available outlets, water pressure was poor, and the door locks were very hard to unlock with the key (not card… good ol’ key). Good location though, in the heart of Gettysburg. Will likely not be staying here again.

Its a hole in the wall, the room is no frills but its cheap as hell clean and a great spot near both battlefields and downtown. The walls are a bit thin so If youre traveling on the budget its pretty great.

In my opinion, this place should be the standard for all reasonably priced hotel motels. Clean, a staff that is always present that made me feel very safe. Not so much as a piece of peeling paint, visible. Does not look rundown or neglected in anyway! Perfectly walkable to downtown Gettysburg. Such a fun town and in my opinion that is the best secret in Pennsylvania. Always something going on and fun fun fun. I will definitely stay at this place again.
