새로지은 호텔이라 깔끔하지만 가격대비 음식은 그냥그래요.
새로지은 호텔이어서 외관상 깨끗했구요.룸은 기본적이지만 깔끔했습니다. 그렇지만 방이 벽하나두고 다 붙어있기때문에 옆방의 작은 대화소리도 다 들렸고 롬복대부분 호텔처럼 화장실 천정이 뚤려있는데 다 벽하나두고 붙어있기때문에 소리 다 들려요..저는 아들이랑 가서 신경씌였어요.아침은 4가지중 선택하는데 웨스턴이 무난했어요.그렇지만 음식에 대한 가격이 많이높게 책정되있는것 같습니다..주변의 2배정도이고 맛도 그냥그래요. 금요일에 불쇼및 불꽃놀이가 있었구요 다이빙샵이 같이 있어서 다이빙하실분들은 편하실듯해요. 낮동안은 호텔앞 해변은 물이 빠지기 때문에 스노클링이나 해변물놀이는 반대쪽으로 가셔서 하셔야 되구요 저녁에는 물이 들어와서 괜찮았어요.선셋보기도 좋았구요..섬이작아서 걸어서 이동가능하지만 짐이있다면 치도모를 타면되는데 항구에서 100.000루피입니다. 첫날 저녁을 방으로 시켰는데 이틀지나도록 치우지를 않더군요..결정적으로 저는..샤워하던중 지네가 제 다리로 기어오르는 경험을 한지라ㅡ.ㅜ 그기억만 없다면 좋았을수도 있었겠다 생각이 드네요..

This place is great! Super friendly and helpful staff, clean pool, awesome outdoor bathrooms, the a/c is super cold, and the value overall can’t be beat.

Really enjoyed our stay, staff were lovely and couldn’t be more helpful! Rooms were clean and pool was great. Some of the resort was a bit rundown, public toilets near the pool and parts of the pool area. Also, no restaurant open at the resort due to low season so couldn’t get food or drink there .

Grand Sunset Gili Air
Grand Sunset Gili Air was a nice surprise. Location good, beautiful sunsets. Manager extremely helpful and gave prompt attention. Our bathroom/room smelled if sewer gas and he was right there for us. The food was very good, but the staff isn’t fluent in English. I was surprised by the primitiveness if the island, but nice breeze and pool were a reluef from Bali heat.

Great view, great pool, great staff
We planned to stay here for 6 nights, but the staff were so helpful and friendly and the hotel so comfortable, that we extended to two weeks. We would highly recommend Grand Sunset.

Gili Air retreat
The staff at Grand Sunset was very helpful and accommodating when it came to setting up day excursions on the island. Great view of the sunset from their private beach. The food at the bar/restaurant was good, especially the fish tacos. Overall, pleasant experience.

We were scheduled to stay here and cancelled as soon as we looked at our room. The property was not what we expected from the pictures. The rooms were small and dark. The bathroom was cleaned and smelled like pure chemicals. The pool was taken over by divers and the beach furniture was in poor condition and not many options to select from to lounge in. Very disappointed and stayed somewhere else.

Ok, men kommer nok ikke tilbake til Gili
Grei plassering på Gili. Som navnet tilsier får man en utmerket utsikt til solnedgangen. Ikke veldig imponert over øyen generelt, mye skjell på stranden og lavt tidevann som gjorde det vanskelig å bade i sjøen. Vi ble overrasket av at badet ikke hadde tak og at vi dermed delte bad med x antall insekter og gekkoer. Vi fikk kun tynne laken og airconditionen var vanskelig å stille inn noe som resulterte i kalde netter. Dog kan man kanskje ikke vente mer til en så rimelig penge. Servicen på hotellet var upåklagelig, veldig hyggelig personale.

Struttura nel complesso carina, fronte spiaggia con piscina (come tutte le strutture a Gili air). Camera un po’ datata, ma funzionale. Delude molto il livello di pulizia: muri sporchi, polvere negli angoli, letto con vistose macchie, anche il bagno (all’aperto) così così.

Lack of staff led to poor experience
Agree with the last review, also confused by multiple 5* ratings. Seemed like more like a collection of rooms to stay in than a hotel. A lot of our problems seemed to be caused by lack of staff so they were always very busy and didn't have time to make you feel welcome or to be polite (especially in the restaurant, where I found them actually rude at times). TVs in the rooms don't work and the WiFi barely works at all anywhere in site. They always seemed to forget to wash their beach towels and took away but didn't replace our room towels. The staff's English wasn't great which made resolving issues tricky, even though they did try their best. Main menu food in the restaurant was good quality but we had the price of our breakfasts refunded after the first day as there was poor choice and everything was cold, cocktails also not great. Divers in the pool would be an issue if you wanted to use it during the day. If you can get a good deal on the price it's OK but I wouldn't recommend paying full amount here, seemed like there were many nicer places on the island!

This was our second trip to Gili Air and stay at the Grand Sunset in two years. We sought out the hotel, as it has a great Scuba Diving School on premise, and both hotel and the dive shop are literally 15m away from the water. Everything seems back to normal after the natural disaster affecting Lombok/Gilis last Nov. It was heart-warming to see how hard management and staff were working at providing a great experience and further expanding their services. This hotel provides excellent value, especially if you are into scuba diving, and it has in our opinion the best location on the island, away from the busy parts on the other side near the harbour. We would definitely go back!

Had an excellent stay would definitely go back. The sunset on a longe chair at the end of the day here is what its all about. The staff were super friendly went above and beyond to insure a pleasant stay. The manager Josh help me out with a couple things I needed and was always around to help guests. Had a breakfast included with severl options to start your day with. You could sit by the pool or walk straight out to the beach. Had good snorkeling rite there or even take a scuba course on site. If your looking for a 5 star luxury resort this isnt it. If your looking for good people a relaxing stay on the beach in a nice place I would recommend these guys .

The staff at Grand Sunset was amazing!!! Very nice! The room was good for the price and breakfast was pretty good! The only downfalls were the hotel being far from most restaurants and bars and the wifi was not very strong and didn't work all the time. Also, the bathroom is outside which gave us a bit of a problem because there were thunderstorms every night. Overall, a great value for the price we paid!

I loved this place and would stay there again in a heartbeat. The location was perfect for me, quiet yet just a quick 5-10 min bike ride to the harbor area where there are many cute shops and cafes. There are also other great places to eat within walking distance. The sunsets cannot be beat and there were plenty of lounge chairs on the beach to enjoy them from. There is a diving company on site, Gili Air Divers, which was very convenient for me since I planned to dive while I was there. The staff at the hotel and at the diving company were all amazing, making me feel welcome and giving me tips on things to do in the evenings. I was sad to leave this place and wish I could have stayed longer!

Close to the beach, great for diving!
Fantastic staff especially the Gili Air Dive crew who trained us in the hotel pool and took us diving out in the sea. Would have started longer if we could have! Restaurant food was pretty average and our hot breakfast on our second day was unfortunately cold. Pillows were terribly uncomfortable but loved the outside shower and bathroom area. Would definitely recommend this place to others.

Très bel établissement situé dans un coin plus tranquille de l'île. La plage et les environs sont préférables à l'autre côté, à mon avis. Très bon déjeuner, avec possibilité de café latte en extra. Chambre petite, mais confortable.

The scratch restaurant linked to the hotel was amazing. Such good food, staff and atmosphere! Room was ok...lighting was poor, lots of ants in outdoor washroom. No slippers provided. I didn't love the room

Good. It’s relaxed and in a nice spot. There’s a defining smell in the mornings if it’s hot from the sess tanks sadly. Breakfast is excellent. Pools really nice. Basic room (even deluxe which we had).

Meillä oli valitettavasti mahdollisuus olla Gili Airilla vain yksi yö. Valitsimme hotellin sen nimen perusteella - ja kyllä auringonlaskua pääseekin hotellin ravintolasta tai viereisistä rantabaareista ihailemaan. Ravintola avoterassilla ja uima-allas ovat lähimpänä rantaa, itse hotellirakennukset - rivitalomallia - kauimpana. Koska oli hiljaista (osin ehkä Mount Agungin purkautumisvaaran vuoksi) saimme parhaat paikat sekä illalla että aamulla ravintolan terassilla. Hotellihuone oli hyvin perusmallia, mutta kauniisti koristeltu kukkasilla, kylpyhuone osin luonnonkivilattiaa ja avotaivaan alla. Paikat hieman rempsallaan - kylpyhuoneessa WC-pönttö heilui ja seinäkahvat repsottivat. Huoneen ulkoovi oli joskus rikottu ja päivä paistoi rakosista. Mutta siitä huolimatta oli ihan turvallinen olo ja täysi rauha - ulkoa ei kuulunut mitään meteliä. Huoneiden seinät tosin olivat kuin paperia, mutta onneksi naapuritkin hiljenivät varhain. Ranta on korallimurskaa ja niin terävää, että paljain jaloin on vaikea kulkea. Kävimme illalla myös snorklaamassa hotellin edustalla, vaikka se ei olekaan paras paikka siihen - ranta syvenee hyvin loivasti. Räpylät todella tarpeen pohjan terävien korallien vuoksi. Uima-allas on mukavalla paikalla eli sen sieltä näkee myös meren. Altaassa oli mukavaa polskutella illallakin. Aasikyyti toimii hyvin, vaikka kuskit vaativatkin tuplahintaa tietämättömiltä turisteilta.

Relax-Time an ruhiger Lage
Das Hotel befindet sich an einer sehr ruhiger Lage. Wir konnten richtig vom Trouble abschalten und relaxen. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und für kleine Spässe zu haben. Das Restaurant ist qualitativ gut, die Auswahl jedoch nicht riesig-doch es genügt bei 3-4 Tagen auf dieser tollen Insel. Die Preise sind im höheren Bereich wenn man teilweise die Beach-Bars oder Warungs in der Nähe abklappert. Die Zimmer und das Outdoor-Bad sind praktisch,das Bett war zu Beginn nicht sauber dies wurde aber schnell verbessert! Bei Fragen oder organisatorischen Dingen wurden wir gut beraten. Das Letze was uns komisch auffiel, dass gewisse Personalleute auf den Strandliegen oder Barsofa schliefen.

Very beautiful location on Gili Air , away from the main strip. Rooms are comfortable, my only complaint would be that there's NO fridge in your room, and no tv channels but they do have a DVD in the room with plenty of choices of a movie to watch from reception

Great location, beautiful room and pool and the staff were very helpful and friendly. While it is located close to alot of bars/restaurants and about ten minutes from the beach, the resort itself is peaceful and relaxing, so it has the best of both worlds!

A Bit Disappointing
The room was less than average. The bed was uncomfortable. The exterior was lovely but the interior was badly in need of updating. The hotel staff was lovely and very helpful. The hotel is not near the center of town which means it is quiet but you will have to take a horse carriage into town and back. We were surprised how expensive these rides were 100 IDR each way. (about $7 USD each way.)

Needs maintenance work
The hotel location and staff are great, its tucked away in the quieter part of Gili Air so it's quite peaceful. The pool is wonderful and the restaurant food was great. The rooms however are not in the best condition. There were stains all over the walls, the door doesn't have a good seal so bugs get in all the time. We had multiple caterpillars throughout our room. The bathroom is also outside, which is pretty cool but it als means there can be bugs while you are using the bathroom. The hotel is ok for the price but there are loads of great hotels/homestays on the island so look around before picking this. The owners need to do some renovations to fix this place up.

Good hotel, better food.
Everything was very nice at Grand Sunset. Nice location and not much noise. Restaurant staff was not the most attentive and sometimes they used more time talking to each other than keeping eyes on the guests. The food was very very good. Wifi was good.

Fantastisk!
Fantastisk smukt hotel, med meget venligt personale. Poolen og udsigten derfra var fantastisk, hotellet virkelig hyggeligt og Gili Air i det hele taget bare en oplevelse i sig selv. Hotellet lå på den modsatte side af øen, hvor største delen af restauranternes lå. Men det gjorde absolut ingen ting. Det var smadder hyggeligt at gå langs vandet og restauranterne. Hvis jeg skal til Gili Air igen (og det skal jeg) vil jeg højst sandsynligt booke dette hotel igen. Ene minus var at der ikke var køleskab på værelset.

Zimmer etwas klein aber vollkommen ok. Badezimmer unter freien Himmel ist schon mal was anderes und macht was her. Toller Pool und leckeres Essen im Restaurant. Viele Liegen, sodass jeder Platz findet.

Nice place on quiet side of the island
Our stay startet a bit bad as we got room 25 that is located just next to the staff room with noise and laundrymachine going all hours. Room 25 Should not really be sold as a room as the others. Luckily the staff was kind and we could relocate to another room after the first night! The place is tidy, outdoor bathrooms great, the breakfast is great (Best in indonesia)(other meals are exspensive compared to rest of the Island) and the location is on the quiet side. nice Beach and nice pool. Only minus is paperthin walls, and the rooms are a bit worn out, with wery simple furniture..
