“This was truly a place where love, care and compassion shine. I think it is a family business, or like minded people. Nothing was too much trouble. Our hosts were attentive at all times and said many often to let them know if we needed anything, or wanted the dinner menu tweaked in any way. “This is an exceptional property, beautifully restored from a sprawling 17th century Catalan farmhouse. The couple that run it are very engaging and helpful and the food, prepared by the husband, is simply outstanding. It is very much in the country and a great place to relax and disconnect, which was what we wanted from the experience. If you want a more urban experience, this is not the place for you, but we just loved it. It was stunning.”

“Lovely hotel! Rooms are clean, spacious, and well appointed. The staff is amazing!! Location is tucked away in a quiet area but Besalu is so small you can get anywhere in a 5 minute walk. Wonderful stay would definitely come back!”

“We had a wonderful stay. Our room was very spacious and comfortable. The decor is spare, in a good way. Clean and minimal. The food was delicious, and they happily accommodated our request for vegetarian meals. They offered good recommendations for hiking areas. The property caters to cyclists, which we did not realize and have nothing to do with, but it was perfect for us on a couples sightseeing vacation as well. ”
