Quiet getaway, still close to DT Golden and adjacebt to all the main highways whereverev you are headed. Friendly and laid back staff, brrakfast was delicious! They truly go above and beyond.

So many things to love about this Lodge. Huge room, a private balcony, beautiful courtyard and grounds, pet friendly, lots of storage in room and bathroom, quiet, super nice host and staff, friendly house dog, close to Golden, (although get your food first if you don't want to drive 10 minutes back to town), very comfortable bed (king) with lovely comforter and pillows. Gorgeous ornately carved armoires. You might want to plan to stay a few days it is just so lovely with great mountain views. I hear breakfast is amazing, but left too soon to enjoy. They let you use the kitchen and fridge. Blessedly there is no tv (may not be the best choice for children) but good wireless. While there are stairs up to the lodge, there is help with luggage. Access is a one lane gravel road. Wonderful place and experience!

Lovely stay with friendly conversation

What a lovely B&B! Though a bit outside of Golden, this lodge is huge with extremely spacious rooms, a very friendly host, a calm surrounding, and great breakfast. Please note though that you need to be able to go up and down stairs with your stuff as the entrance is up a spiral staircase and the lodge is a split level design. This want a problem for us but something to note if it's important to you. Also, the final part of the drive is up a gravel road so be aware of this is a challenge for your car. The Lodge is remote and surrounded by mountains and first, with multiple indoor and outdoor seating areas. The sheets on the king beds are so luxurious and soft I didn't want to get out of bed. Our room even had a spacious seating area, a separate room with a pull out sofa bed, a large walk-out balcony, and double sinks. Breakfast was generous and homey and you get nice conversation with the owner who is a sweet lady with lots of stories. There is a dog on the premise who has a mighty bark but is friendly, so be aware as he may give you a little shock if you're not aware. Overall, we'd definitely stay again.

Secluded lodge

This lodge provides a quiet stay in a secluded setting. The room was very large, comfortable, and clean, if showing its age a touch (aren't we all?). The hostess is very friendly and provided a delicious cooked breakfast both mornings with fresh fruit and ample other choices. We would stay here again.

Just a wonderful place.

We were passing by on a ski trip that was cut short by Covid virus closures of everything. Our reservation was honored and in fact our room was upgraded. The property is remote, up on a hill overlooking the valley with a beautiful view of the mountains. The room was wonderful and spacious, the host, Rosy, is quite an interesting person, knowledgeable in many areas, and she provided an amazing breakfast for us. Really amazing! I wish we had more time to spend, and I wish the nearby Kicking Horse ski area was open. Hopefully I’ll get to return to Kapistro on another trip.
