"Very quaint and laid back ambience. Normally travellers like us (retired professionals) might not connect with this sort of hostel, but we loved it. Just the kind of place we used to stay in 50 years ago, lots of young (and a few not so young) guests hanging out, doing cooking reading and very impressively clearing up afterwards. Communal facilities were very well looked after, and the person staffing reception was polite and very helpful. The downside is that it's quite a long way from the nearest towns and the roads are too dangerous to walk after dark (no kerbs, very dark, lots of fast traffic). But it was only €5 each way by excellent local taxis. If you're a backpacker or somebody who doesn't mind missing out on the soulless corporate budget hotels it's great value and a lot if fun. Only 15 minutes to the airport too."
