Modern and comfortable rooms

For a quick stopover in Grande Cache for some hiking, this hotel was perfect. Very clean and comfortable, with good A/C and modern rooms and right across the street from groceries and restaurants!

Do not judge this hotel by the way it looks on the outside! Our room was really nice and so clean. All of the typical places where hotels are dirty like bathroom corners, walls stuff like that, this housekeeping staff was on top of. This was one of the nicest and cleanest hotels we have ever stayed in. Just wish it had an elevator!

Very friendly staff and very clean facility with very nice rooms. Note that the 1st floor is actually upstairs (2nd floor) with no elevator access. So if you have a lot of luggage it’ll be a bit of a chore.

Everything was great at this property for the price. Decor is older (pretty sure the kitchenette was straight from the 60s) but we liked that so that was ok. Super clean and the staff was amazing. I gave 4 stars because the continental breakfast was extremely lacking. Only bread/toast and frozen waffles and frozen pancakes and coffee/tea/water. No juice or eggs or pastries etc. If you prefer a light breakfast as in toast and coffee this will work for you but if you’d like something a bit heartier then plan to eat breakfast at a local restaurant.

My family and I have stayed at the Acorn numerous times. The staff is as helpful as they can be, the rooms are clean, the amenities in the room are all we need. A small family run motel, no elevator but free laundry which is terrific so you can travel with just a carry-on. My room had a wee kitchenette - I was reheating for the most part so it was perfect. Breakfast - basic; toast, bagels, cereal, juices, apples and coffee - that's what a continental is!! A solid 3 star property out of 5 - loses one because of the lack of an elevator. Suited my purpose well and I usually stay for about 5 nights.
