Pleasantly surprised with the rustic quality of this place. It was charming and perfect for my family getaway. Even caught the train that picks up in the parking lot and got a little tour of the train museum, all for free. Our cabin was perfect for my two young children, wife and I. Private and quiet. Excellent stay!

Location and staff are great. Hard to find; a lack of signage of any type made the property difficult to find on a dark rainy night. The Northern Queen is obviously and old dowager and as such a bit rough around the edges with obvious up grades badly needed but with any effort this could be a great palce for a vacation or short stay.

Northern Queen has seemingly a huge number of rooms! So it’s usually available, a quick hop to the town less than a half mile, a nice welcoming staff, clean and quiet rooms, and a good setting. On top of that, it’s very reasonably priced. I would be happy to come again.

Basic, clean room, very quiet location. Good price, seems to be American owned and operated which is rare these days. Staff friendly and informative. Bed, pillows comfortable, good water pressure. Internet worked just fine. Will definitely stay at the Northern Queen Inn again.

Everyone might not agree this is a 4/5 as the facilities are older, but my husband and I like the rustic/older feel. The surrounding nature/scenery was beautiful with the creek and small waterfall. Close to downtown. We stayed in one of the cabins and we liked having our own space but the the bathroom was very dated and the fireplace didn’t work.

The. Chalet and patio were spacious. Lots of room for a very reasonable price! The kitchen had nothing to use for food prep or serving. Breakfast on the weekend was solid and the grounds were scenic. Would stay Again.

Our 2 night stay was pleasant. Beautiful surroundings, very friendly personnel. We got extra blankets, and whatever information we needed...they are remodeling now, so its not quite up to par, but it will be soon . I would recommend.
