"Not a good place to stay"

"Quick check-in, and we got an upgrade for our room. The staff at the reception, restaurant, and the gentleman at the pool area were all very friendly and welcoming. For my birthday, our sweet waitress surprised me with a dessert, which made the stay even more special. Overall, it’s a nice property with a fantastic view, and we had a relaxing weekend. Good points: the lake view and the private access to the lake. Negative point: unfortunately, the pool was dirty, so we Couldn’t enjoy it in our first day."

"Room 101 of Citrus Hotel (where we stayed) has a MUSTY odor. Requested a quiet room and was placed infront of a street with lots of noises. Aircon noisy. Sofa dirty. Sheets looks dingy. DARK and GLOOMY - a extremely depressing room! Every touch with doors, appliances, sink etc feels sticky. Walls, Ceilings, Decorations so OLD. Front staff who gave us the room NOT friendly! NOT worth for the price we paid. Do NOT believe past reviews, NOT TRUE! NOT RECOMMENDED at all!"

"I tried to check in early after a long drive; I called twice and visited in person once, but the staff member was not at all helpful in trying to get us a room—even though it was already 1:00 PM when I made my last call to inquire. I ended up having to go to another hotel. I will not return to this hotel, nor to any other La Quinta property."
