"Property was clean and well maintained. Good amenities in the room such as the washing machine. Location was good as it was close to the subway and airport bus pickup. Hotel was also within walking distance to Myeongdong (15-20 minutes)."

"Huge room even my US standards - with enough space for several large bags. The staff was very professional and accommodating. Everyone speaks English which is really helpful to find limo bus to airport. The breakfast was nice for one day- there are many western (bagel and pastries) and Korean options next to the hotel. The transitions white cold noodle shop always had a line so I tried it on my last day and it was super refreshing and different than anything I have ever had. "

"By far and away the best service I have ever received at a hotel, and I have traveled extensively. We had two different people greet us before even making it near the entrance, then a single person made sure we were guided and immediately attended to. We were graciously given a free upgrade and when the staff found out that we were here for a special event for the kids, they printed a letter to them and have a box of chocolates, which my kids can't stop talking about. The breakfast buffet was spectacular and absolutely worth the price. My husband still talks about how every other hotel on our trip was a letdown. 100% we would stay at The Shilla again the next time we are in Seoul."

"The hotel and surrounding area was beautiful, clean and better than other 5 star hotels that I've stayed at in the United States. I was a little surprised that the surrounding area and hotel were very empty. I'm not sure if I was visiting during the "offseason" (June) or if it's more busier during other times of the year when more conventions are going on. This was my virst visit to South Korea and I was very impressed. However, if you are vacationing in Seoul, the hotel is located about 30 - 40 minutes by train to many tourist spots but conveniently located close to Gimpo International airport. Trains / buses are conveniently located close to the hotel and there are many restaurants to choose from within walking distance. My compliments to Cafe dd Craft Bakery & Coffee across the street from the hotel. We had breakfast there every day and will miss you dearly! Thanks for a wonderful stay and great memories! "

"Construction next store was noisy. The staff was friendly and helpful! From the folks at the reception desk, to the house keeping lady on the 21st floor and especially the gentlemen at the concierge desk on the first floor, everyone provided outstanding customer service! The location was also ideal for walking to places. I would highly recommend this hotel and can't wait to book them again on my return trips to Korea! "

"Love the convenient location with lots of stuff to do and easy subway access. We had a family suite that has a living room and bedroom with a king size bed and two bunk beds. Bathroom and shower/tub were spacious and clean. Highly recommended. "
