"Everything was good. Except for the fact that there were only blinds and no curtains on the windows. So when the sun can game up we were up also. Good breakfast and a nice pub right down the street. I would stay again but would ask for a room with curtains "

Chepstow Castle is the oldest surviving stone fort in Britain and easily one of the most spectacular castles in Wales. The impressive castle dates back to the Norman invasion and perches precariously atop a cliff on the banks of the River Wye. Any visit is sure to invoke plenty of awe and wonder.
"Enjoyed my stay but had a few issues with my room - light in the bathroom did not work and water pressure in the shower was low. However, the hotel overall was really lovely and I would stay again. Just make sure that you book any spa treatments in advance as these book up very quickly."
"Staff are so welcoming and friendly. Bar food menu is excellent. Rooms are beginning to look tired and need updating, especially the shower and carpets. The front entrance looks spectacular with pots and hanging baskets in abundance. Gardener deserves the highest commendation for the trimmed topiary and flowers. However, all staff make your stay extra special as nothing is too much trouble. Definitely the best place to stay in Cwmbran. "
