"The rooms are spacious and clean. Good location near freeway, stores, gas and coffee shops. TV was acting weird on some channels. The staff are not that friendly (at least towards females) when I checked in the young guy was very attentive to a male guest check in before me and as soon as he saw me his face changed; he didn’t even tell me about the complementary breakfast or the time for check out, where was my room, WiFi code nothing just necessary talk to check us in period. All with a flat face. The food options are better than other regular continental breakfast. I would stay here again if only the staff were more friendly and to see the place’s dog (golden retriever) that is very cute. I would recommend just have a male do the check in"

"A good base from which to explore the Carmel region. This is a simple lodge with some great ideas. Breakfast was fresh and healthy. The shop had well priced original local products. The pool was clean and warm. The lodge is well placed for local restaurants and bars. I recommend this lodge to anyone who wants a unique stop over."
