We have at this locations many time and have enjoyed each and every time and will continue to stay here when we are in town. My only negative is, the mattress is very hard and makes sleeping for multiple nights challenging to get good rest.

Great Texas feel. Clean room and friendly helpful staff. Driving all day and all we wanted was a comfortable and clean facility. This is the place. Mexican restaurant recommended within walking distance was really good! We would stay here again

Front desk area was nice, clean, and welcoming, the home was nice, the breakfast was adequate, potatoes/eggs were gross, sausage/waffles was good. The tables were not cleaned the person taking care didn't show her face the whole time we were there, didn't refill, I saw her come out as we checked out right before breakfast was over. What really upset me was the fact that Hotels noted special fees for non-service dogs of $15 per pet, per stayonly, but the hotel when I checked in said that they had a weight policy over 15 pounds was $30 per pet. I wasn't able to argue with him because I didn't have the info on hand from Hotels.com. once of the reasons I picked this hotel was because others had a weight limit and they didn't. When I confronted them about the fact that this information wasn't on the fees noted on the booking sight, I was told there was nothing they could do about it. Also, when we went down for breakfast my husband ask the front desk about it, he said it was an unwritten policy, that is not right. They should honor what is on the sight (because that is what people base they're decisions on) and the fact that the can't proof it in writing, makes me believe they make things up as they go.

Absolutely lovely hotel and the management was super sweet, they recommend the italian restaurant in town(i now also recommend it!) The only thing was how hard the bed was, not my cup of tea but everything else was clean and the AC was wonderful, breakfast was also super tasty! If im ever in the area id happily stay again.

Our first time to stay at Hotel Texas in Hallettsville and we really enjoyed our trip. The staff was fantastic and super helpful from the minute we walked in the door. We had a great breakfast prepared for us in the morning and will definitely look into this hotel next time we’re out that way.

Great stay just a very hard bed.
Nice hotel, great location, friendly service, delicious breakfast. Only negative was the bed I slept in was hard as a rock and the pillows were very small. I'm very picky about beds so if you like something firm its probably going to meet your needs, just not mine.

We enjoyed sitting on the porch out back in the rocking chairs. Clean clear up to the rafters. The room was comfortable, clean, and pleasant. I wish there were TV remote instructions and the channels did not match. The bed was too hard for me. Chad, at the front desk, was very helpful and considerate. I left clothes on the bathroom door. He called me as soon as they found them. We had not left the area and returned to pick them up. He gave us directions to another painted church. Thumbs up from me overall.

The staff was hard to find and rude when you did find them. Seems like they are short staffed and she was stressed out. The property overall was fine. The outdoor space was peaceful and cute.

If you haven’t stayed here you are missing out!! To start out Miriam is there with a smiling face to greet you! She genuinely loves her job! Very comfortable room with soap, lotion, shampoo, and body wash containers mounted to the wall. That’s right no little bottles all you need to do is push on the container!! What could be better!
