“Really enjoyed our stay at Hanscoms in Bar Harbor. Our cottage was very clean and comfortable. The location is about 10 minutes outside of the busy areas of Bar Harbor and about 5 minutes away from Acadia NP... close, but not too close... nice and quiet. In hindsight we probably would have selected a unit with more of a kitchen, ours just had a small fridge and microwave. Nice touch... there is a community area with a fire pit and everything is provided to get a nice fire going.”

“The hotel is very average. Not bad, not special. Yet the ratings are "exceptional" and in the 90's. Is every hotel "exceptional". Is there no differential? That doesn't help customers is everything on Expedia is great. The hotel was fine, though like a chain with little personal flair or touch. Hardly "special."”

“Very unique place. Loved the vintage decor. Staff were extremely friendly. Had s’mores by the fire nightly which was a nice touch. Would definitely stay again if I visited Bar Harbor again.”

“What a charming property. The day room was so charming and the fireplace was a welcome perk, as the days and nights were chilly! Breakfast was delicious. Our room was so lovely and the bed was very comfortable. Tea was set in the late afternoon with delicious treats. Thank you for a great visit!”

What made the situation even worse is we had a 2 year old with us. No safe and clean space for him. Fireplace felt more of a liability with the limited space and continuous smell. There was hardly any space to keep luggage, no closet whatsoever. We could spent 2 hours at this place (1 hour of which was...

“Room was very clean and the staff was super friendly. Perfect location for walking to eat, shop and explore town.”

“직원들이 너무 친절하고 모든면에서 아주 만족 합니다”

“Excellent appart hotel, no issues found Very close to Acadia Park.”

“It’s amazing to stay there. Specially its location is perfect and all spots are so close.”

“This is a beautiful place within walking distance to town. My room with a fireplace was so lovely and the gentleman at the front desk was very helpful in directing me to the right place for dinner. I enjoyed that they had tea and coffee readily available as well. The continental breakfast was just ok but I did appreciate that they had bagels. I didn't get a chance to go next door for a drink which is unfortunate as it looked like a great addition. I would definitely stay here again.”
