"The listing did not mention the noise from the bar next door, music goes until midnight every night. We had issues with the water, first no cold water then no hot water. Bed uncomfortable. TV didn’t work and when they brought a new one that one didn’t work either. We asked to switch to a cabana away from the music and host did nothing. I am not sure how this place has the rating it does when you look at the actual reviews."
"Gorgeous stay at a seafront cottage. No idea how the cleaning staff manages to keep all the sand out of the cottages, but they work some serious magic.
The biggest downsides were the dive shop being across the street and the rotating restaurants that all felt similar. Going on an activity/snorkel/dive and having to cross the street was an inconvenience and added to the clothing I needed to take, as I felt uncomfortable walking in public in swimwear. The restaurants rotate through the nights with the same staff working them, but a different theme. I wish we would have headed into town to try the local restaurants sooner, as we enjoyed those better.
Overall - we are already talking about returning and the property is gorgeous with helpful staff."
"Great stay! Perfect location, experience and staff!
My room was connected - with locked door between - the room next door, and you could hear everything going on next door. "
Sirenian Bay Resort - Villas & All Inclusive Bungalows
10/10 Excellent
"We just got Home from an 8 day stay at Sirenian Bay. The staff is amazing. From the moment you get picked up from the airport you are treated special. EVERY member of the staff will help you or find the person that can. We had an amazing trip. The restaurant, Inky’s, fantastic! I would compare it to a 5 star restaurant in Houston. The Chef, just wow, he makes a special every night that will impress the pickiest of people. They are very accommodating to special dietary needs. I am lactose intolerant and my wife is allergic to pineapple. We only had to tell them one time and with every meal we had they made sure we were covered. They seemed truly concerned that we were taken care of. I highly recommended Sirenian Bay. We did the couples Beach dinner for our anniversary. Chef prepared an amazing meal. Every item served was hand picked by us, Chef, and the head waiter. It was magical, yes my wife cried from the experience. She said it was a fairy tale experience. Great job Sirenian Bay!"
"All of the staff were extremely nice and professional. The property Is very well maintained and gorgeous. The 2 bedroom ocean view was spacious and directly on the beach. During my stay the occupancy was low and some services which were told would be available such as room service was not. I had to walk to the restaurant and order then wait for my food. Also because of low occupancy the poolside restaurant and pizza place closed early as well. It would have been helpful to have this information upon checking in."
"Stayed here via Hotels.com expecting a private villa, but on arrival it turned out to be a shared villa setup, which was not how it was advertised. That alone was a dealbreaker for us as it changed the whole experience (privacy and comfort).
On top of that, other guests were doing loud karaoke late into the evening and we could not sleep. We raised it, but it wasn’t properly managed.
After leaving, communication was slow and unclear. It took around a month of chasing to reach any resolution and we were only partially refunded in the end.
I would not recommend. If you book, get written confirmation that the accommodation is fully private (not shared) and ask about noise rules/enforcement before you pay."
