When we checked in the employee behind the counter said- the TV is not working in the room, is that ok? When I told her no, she offered a 15% discount. She asked another employee to put in the discount. She said she was unable to do that. I asked if there was another room, she said no. She said I could call another hotel and stay there. It was 9:30 at night when we checked in and I was not going to call for another hotel. In the elevator, another guest explained that the hotel had been hit by lightning and all Wi-fi was out on floors 1 through 3. But somehow the Wi-fi was working in the lobby. When we got to the room, It was very damp and cold. We though the carpet was wet- but it was damp from bad condensation in the room. The man mopping the lobby area looked intoxicated. The only high point of the stay was the breakfast was good.
We checked in at 9:30 on a Friday and checked out at 6:00 am on Sunday. And didn't have Wi-fi or TV the entire time.
