"This was a fantastic hotel to stay in.The owners were amazing and very down to earth and welcoming. The location was beautiful and close to everything that you could need or want to do.In maggie valley."

"Clean rooms, comfy beds, great location, bit pricey but not bad for the area. BEAUTIFUL AREA! Breakfast area is very small but ok. Not many options for kids to eat. Recommend more kid friendly options like other cereals or yogurt. Pool looked nice but lots of storms and rain so couldn't use it. Staff nice!"

"Under new ownership! We stayed in one of the chalets. Very cute place. Perfect for couples. GREAT location! So close to Main St. Waynesville, and a very short drive to Maggie Valley. It is an older place, but has such adorable character and charm! Roomy / spacious. Grounds are in need of minor attention. Renovations are happening. Gorgeous remodeled shower! It would be nice to be able to open the windows, as you feel like you're in a tree house. The shade is wonderful! The sleeper sofa was extremely uncomfortable to sit on long enough to watch a movie, but not something that would keep me away. There is some local traffic noise, but not extremely disturbing. There is a gas fireplace (which we didn't use, out of season). The king bed was nice. A little hard, but not uncomfortable. Our chalet was turned in a way that you felt you had privacy. We viewed the rooms with the rock walls and the look and vibe they give is just charming! I am looking very forward to seeing the upgrades and renovations! They mention new units....! We never had a conversation with a live person, nor did we see anyone. Check in was all done through texts / emails."

"We have stayed here several times in the last three years. The staff are always very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean, but this past time, there was food left in the fridge and drink rings on the countertops. Nothing to freak out about, but just not as good as it has been in the past. Also, if you are not a pet person, I don't recommend staying on the first floor. That is where they usually put their guests with animals and the rooms smell like pets. The free breakfast is modest, but good. Overall, our stays have been very nice."

"This hotel is 100 years-old. It is a comfortable, quaint, calm place to stay. The employees were fantastic at helping us. Parts of the hotel have an old-world elegance. But you have to be prepared for a room that is very basic and not what you would find in a modern corporate facility. Loved the calm atmosphere, would be happy to stay there again."
