The property is located just a few minutes from the central train station in Helsinki. To check-in to the property you will first need to make your way to their central office which is only a few minutes away from central station. It is important that you do this before going to the property as it is located in opposite directions. This was a bit inconvenient, however I can understand why they do this and they strive to communicate this requirement during the booking process. This particular property was located on the fifth floor of the building. Keep in mind there are no elevators within the building making the hike with luggage quite a challenge. The property itself is very large with a living room, kitchen, 1.5 bathrooms, bedroom, Sauna and a balcony. The actually bed was comfortable and bedding was clean. As the building is older, it is understandable that the property is not up to date. There were a few issues with this property that made the stay somewhat unenjoyable. 1. The biggest issues was shower had black mold all over the tiles. It made the shower really disgusting and basically unusable. 2. The sauna did not work. I spent a good amount of time reviewing the instructions and allowing it to heat up with no luck. This was quite a disappointment. 3. The balcony was in terrible unusable condition. 4. The paint on and around the windows was cracked and chipping. It makes be concerned about potential lead issues. Unfortunately I can't recommend this property.

Wir waren mit einer kleinen Familie unterwegs und haben uns rund um wohl und zufrieden gefühlt. Es gab sogar 2 getrennte Schlafbereiche.. was super war.. und die Couch hätte auch noch eine Bettfunktion.. wenn diese gebraucht wird.. Es war alles sehr sauber.. Spüli, Taps,Zewa,Toilettenartikel alles vorhanden.. Nur die Fenster zum öffnen sind etwas stark veraltet.. Mit Ruhe und Geduld funktioniert es aber..

The entire apartment was just what we needed for space and quietness as it afforded us more time to not be working in a confined area like a hotel room. If you have a lot of luggage then the 5 flights might be a longer hike for you but it's well worth every step. I will not be stay in a regular hotel again when I regular.

A gem

A beautiful little apartment, just a short walk from Helsinki Central Station. Check in is after 4 at 2nd Homes office just a few doors down the street - but they were kind enough to let me check in earlier (12). The apartment is on the 5th floor, with no lift - didn't bother me, but be aware if you're travelling with a lot of luggage. The apartment itself was the best accommodation I stayed in throughout my 3 week trip through Scandinavia. A beautiful, spacious light-filled space, that was nonetheless warm and cosy despite the heavy snow outside. Separate kitchen, lounge, and two bedrooms, plus the bonus of its own personal sauna. The apartment also overlooks the gardens, providing a lovely view, day and night. A great place to stay in Helsinki.
