Highly recommend for a solo traveller. Right near transit stations (bus and train), walking distance to all major museums and close to the dock for a trip to Suomenlinna Island. Restaurant is wonderful for someone with a dairy allergy. Overall, great experience for first time in Finland.

I really enjoyed my stay at Scandic Grand Central hotel. The bed was sooo comfy, I had a great nights sleep. Just wish there had been a chair in the room as I don't like having to sit up on the bed. The power shower was brilliant. The breakfast was outstanding with so much choice. I would definitely come back.

Centrally located in a beautiful art deco building. Rooms immaculately decorated and clean. Very convenient for central station. Good choice at breakfast although busy during yeh breakfast service. Friendly staff, available when you need them, not “in your face” when you don’t.

The location of the hotel is perfect for sightseeing, eating, shopoing, the airport and the cruise terminal. The staff was helpful but may need to have a better understanding of the train which is right next door and the hop on hop off process and stop which is literally across the street Stop #18. Also because this hotel houses a lot of cruisers, knowing the address to the cruise terminal port or having dedicated taxi drivers who know is a must.

What an amazing location in the center of everything, next to the Grand Central Station. We were able to check in early for 20 euros which made life easier. There was 8 of us and one of our guests was in a wheelchair and the room was handicap accessible. Only comment was they didn’t have a toilet seat riser which you obviously can’t travel with, that would of been nice but everything else was brilliant.
