"Outside of the hallways smelling like a nursing home, the stay was great! The building interior is old but the rooms were upgraded, clean and very comfortable. The staff was friendly and accommodating. I had to get a candle to rid the room of what smelled like "cleaner". I would definitely stay there again."

"Heater made some noise when it was on. The room with the king size bed had a lot of empty space which made it look strange. It should be filled in with a couch or something to fill the space. Shower pressure was excellent, but the slider leaked a little bit, no big deal."

"The hotel is safe and conveniently located near the train station, but the restaurant (Nble) did not live up to our expectations. I ordered a yogurt parfait, and I’m not even going to mention the price. What disappointed me was how it was served. The presentation was lousy, and they didn’t even bother to clean the rim of the bowl. It looked like the yogurt had simply been dumped into the bowl without any care. Honestly, I would have been better off buying one from the nearby grocery store."

"I have stayed at Oceangate twice now. The staff I dealt with were friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious, with a microwave and frig, making it easy to take a meal in the room. The mattress was excellent and I got a good night's sleep every night. I loved having a view of the water from my balcony, and watching the light change as the sun went down. There was a variety of hot and cold choices each morning at breakfast. My only complaint is that the coffee could be better, other than that, it was a great stay."
