Great hotel for a visit in Saigon

The owner An Duong was really friendly and helpful and that goes for the whole staff. They help me with transfer and also with booking of a water puppet show and a few tips of restaurants. The location is quiet and nice but just one street from the main road where all the craziness happens.

Help on every step

The owner and the staff has been wonderful. They made the reservation to go to Mekong bay, they helped on our phone problem (she called the phone company to solve the problem), they helped us to find out good typical restaurants and most of all, they welcomed us in the middle of the night as our flight was landing at 2 pm !! Thanks a lot for everything

I was also given the ground floor backup room after booking on Orbitz for a extremely good price. I don't know if the hotel staff was dissatisfied with the price it received, but I was given the ground floor room that was okay at best with no towels in the room, a non working TV, barely working AC. As the other bad review stated the bathroom door was rotting.

This is a nice hotel; not fancy but clean and well looked after. It's a little hard to find for a first timer, being situated on a small side street or alley, but the location is convenient to food, drink, and transport. I've been very happy here!

Room looks better in the picture. There were ants around the toilet sink area and even around the floor. No breakfast provided despite the fact that we have paid. We were also not informed in advance about that. Stayed in hostels that are so much better than this in HCMC.

I like this place a lot.. Have stayed here on several occasions.. Close to Backpacker area, Binh Thanh Market, Walking Street and more.. Many places to eat in close walking distance.. The hotel tagged in my favorites due to costing, location, and friendly/helpful staff.

O Hotel era perto do museu da guerra, e do Market, fizemos tudo a pe , fo um Seguro caminhar por lá, muita gente na rua, inclusive com crianças . As fotos do hotel são reais, mas a rua de acesso é muito estreita, não entra carro, e é uma regiao bem velha, simples. Não ttivemos serviço de quarto, mas os funcionários da recepção foram mu oito prestativos e nos ajudaram com passeios, taxi...

Parasta hotellissa oli kattoterassi ja sijainti. Huoneet ovat hieman kulahtaneet eikä paikasta löydy esim baaria. Hotellin hintataso on kuitenkin edullinen mikä selittää osan puutteista. Ihan ok kokemus.

Bodde två nätter på hotellet i mars-19. Hotellet låg bra till dvs centralt i distrikt 1. Möttes av unga mycket hjälpsamma bra engelsktalande receptionister. De hjälpte till att boka resa till olika sevärdheter samt billig taxi dit vi önskade, ex marknader. Frukosten var bra. Städningen sisådär. Hotellet var billigt o vi kan rek andra att bo där!

Mysigt och nära till allt

Vi bodde här i omgångar och ångrar oss inte . Mitt i smeten och nära till allt , personalen var glada hjälpsamma och väldigt service inriktade. Hjälpte till med bokningar , tåg mm även om vi inte tog de resor hotellet ordnade. Bra frukost på taket med grym utsikt.

Do not book unless suoerior room and not discount

Where to start. I will be honest, we booked this due to the discounted rate, which should not change the standard nor service. We checked in and got what i can only assume to be the staff or backup room on the ground floor. Thats fine for us but as soon as we closed the door we heard gnawing at the door. Turned out that there were insects devouring the inside of the door. We had 4 nights booked so this was not a short stay. Upon notifying the receptionist, and after she acknowledged the infestation, we requested a different room. Had they taken responsibility and changed us to ANY room, this review would have been very different. But no. After much discussion and arguing with the manager Anne over the phone, they hand the guts to say that the only available room was a family room and to insist that we should pay another 5$ (30% surcharge) to have something habitable. After refusing to pay extra their best "solution" was to threaten to kick us out and be so kind as to offer a refund after deceiving us with the booking description. Heed my warning as this is a pattern now. If there is a discount on hotels.com, you get the backup room and the best resolution is a kind offer to put you on the street and "refund" the booking. I.e. blackmail. Yes, eventually we got what i can only assume to be the secondary reserve room. Dirty floor, needed fresh towels, new linen, no houskeeping for a 4 night stay and wrong remotes for the "not-flat screen". The bed was comfortable enough.
