Terrific family hotel and restaurant, run by kind, gentle and considerate staff.
I would highly recommend this hotel in a great central location in District 1 HCMC and serve cheap and delicious food.
Not recommended with family . For individuals or couples & with low budget , it’s very good . Great location

Honest review
The room is very basic, below average I would say, in need of a refresh. Internally within the hotel is dated. My first night, I had to turn off the extract vent system, as there was hazardous fumes coming into room, as a result of some ground floor works by workmen, I had a headache. The service was good, breakfast traditional, buffet style although limited. Location in town is good.
When we checked in, our first impression was that the room could use some updating. However, the property was great for the price and the service was excellent. Very nice family that were wonderful to us. Clean facility. We were on the fourth floor. With no elevator, we got our exercise.

It was a tad hard to find as it’s a teeny tiny small black square sign on the side of a local restaurant. The checkin counter is at the cash register at back , just before the kitchen, of the restaurant. The hosts did a wonderful job at making us comfortable, as we had 2 rooms, 5 people, and they had no lift. They offered to carry our bags up to the 3rd and 4th floors. We had an early morning 5am departure, so they made us toast with butter and jam “to go” as their breakfast would not yet be open that time, which was so, so nice. The rooms (on the fourth floor) are quite dated. We had to leave our key in the switches to ensure the air conditioning was working- it was quite hot upon arrival.
Overall, for the price, I’d stay here again, but be mindful of the nuances, and flexible.

The staff were outstanding. Due to a disability we were put into their sister Hotel the Saigon due to it having an elevator. In a smsll bustling side street, an ideal location for revslers. The street was well equiped with various restraunts, massage parlours and a tattoo shop. A 7/11 was on the cirner about 100m away. And on walking street there were msny bars showing sports. The room was fairly large, with aircon and provided toiletries. Very clean. If you chose the free breakfast, the beeakfast was very basic with only 1 drink whether this be coffee, orange juice or water. The room was quite spacious for 3 people, but alas the room had seen better days. Was showing signs of needing renovations. Giving the area it was in, close to walking street, the room was relatively quiet. Less than 50 m to walking street, 5 mins to the market. And lots of attractions and sights to see with in 15 mins wslk. The hotel served food and was reasonably low priced but very good. Very tasty. Close by to many other restaurants, cafes and Banh mi vendors. Not suitable for people with small children. But ideal for backpackers and party goers.
Very good value for money esp for budget travellers. The hotel is very accessible to all places. Restaurants and bars abound the area. Our hosts, Tony and Bao An, are very accommodating, as well as all the other staff, Lin, Bita, etc. We had a grand time!

Good for a couple of nights
Great location for a couple of nights in Alley 185. Room was as expected. Couldn’t beat it for the price. Lovely restaurant and friendly staff. Would stay again if passing through HCMC.
Older hotel, that is probably due for a bit of an update but my room was clean, location was excellent (close to party central but far enough away that you could sleep.) Breakfast inc was excellent, only real fault intermittent hot water in shower. Would book again

No elevator. Room & furnitures are very old. Breakfast is not good
Cleanliness and convenience to walk around. The service was great for the price. There is a complimentary small bottle of water on the first day but I wish they replenish it daily. There are coffee / tea cups but no hot water and complimentary tea/ cofee.

It is extremely close to many attractions and food options & very convenient. Yes, with all of the windows closed, I am able to hear club music into the late night, but that's what happens when your hotel is a 3 minute walk away from the night-life area. While at this hotel, I wasn't planning to stay in much, anyway, so it didn't become as big of a con as it would've in other circumstances. A mentionable con is the no-elevator, which I really underestimated. Besides that, my stay was enjoyable.
I’m a laid back traveller and it takes a lot for me to be surprised and leave early (this was my first time leaving early… ever)- so you arrive through the restaurant and wait at the counter until someone is available— (not a problem as I was expecting this) was given a key and hotel agreement paper - went to my room - toilet was still dirty like it has just been used (not flushed) rubbish was left from the previous guest on top of the cupboard… during my first night the ac remote stopped working so couldn’t turn it off.. it’s close to a red light district, so if your a light sleeper goodluck..you can’t bring food from outside into the hotel and your not allowed to wash clothes in the room? (Didn’t need to wash, but read from the agreement paper). First time I have ever checked out a night early, but even for the price I just couldn’t do it… this is after coming from cheap guesthouses in Bali, so I do not have high standards… but please just clean the toilets…or atleast look at them. Take previous guests rubbish out, make sure AC remotes have good batteries… be a little more personable with guests and that’s all I ask. I didn’t bother asking for a refund for the last night… just learned a lesson moving forward.
