"Ash Grove was the perfect place for our stay. It is out of the way and rather private. It is not in the middle of Paihia but close enough that we could easily drive in to town to eat and go on our tour of the Bay. Even better, it was just down the road from Haruru Falls, which was spectacular. We loved going on a walk along the river. We felt very much at home in our little cottage. Grange and Bronwyn are fantastic hosts and do a fantastic job maintaining their property. I highly recommend Ash Grove Boutique Motel."

"All the staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel is going through some renovations all for the better. We had room 8 which had been redone with lovely view to the water. While there was a hotpot for tea, would have appreciated a coffee maker in the room. Restaurant had great bar, steak, and calamari. "

"The room was very comfortable,the common areas are awesome, the breakfast options were nice but I preferred to have breakfast cooked for me as I was hung over, Richard is easy to deal with and very welcoming 9.5/10. My varanda door screeched when I opened and closed it"

"The staff were very patient and accommodating with our changes. Beds were very comfortable after a long day on the road. Showers nice and hot. Xmas decorations were pretty and kitchen was well equipped. Will definitely go back."
