"The property is a very old one and hence a bit quirky but that’s fine. My room for instance was small with the sink in the main bedroom whilst the loo and shower were in the en suite but that was fine as I was by myself. The owners had put such thought into meeting my every need which was greatly appreciated- in the bedroom I couldn’t have wanted for anything more. The house has a small parking area and beautiful gardens to sit out in. Breakfast is individually coked and catered for too. The only drawback I think is the stairs leading to the bedrooms are very steep with small foot treads, the bottom ones particularly are uneven in depth and slope. However they are heavily carpeted and there are rails. It’s a very old loved property."

"Douglas & Adrian are very welcoming.The room was themed & had a good selection of tea's,& a choice of coffee.Had china cup's & mugs as well as teapot.Breakfast was very good as they use their own egg's,from their own chicken's.If you wanted fresh milk they would supply it.Tell them where you going & they will tell you best way to get there.Only draw back is they not very wide road's to get to it."

"The location when we arrived was perfect so peaceful and tranquil. A bit difficult to find as going down the lane only a car width and when reaching the end no signage to say we were in the correct place or to guide us signage to the cabin. I was quite dated inside but clean and tidy enough, it had what you would need for your stay. The hob and oven were clean but the markings to know the heat and what part of the oven was the fan was trial and error ( some burnt garlic bread as the grill and oven was on haha) once you got used to it, it was fine. Instead of having two chairs at the table and two in the corner set up it would have benefited from another cupboard to put food in with it being self catering there was no space for food and a mirror on the wall in the bedroom might have been helpful for us ladies when drying your hair and trying to use the small square portable mirror from the bathroom. Towels were provided they were only bath towels so for the larger person was not big enough for my husband, luckily I did bring extra towels just in case (I'm a just in case packer) We really enjoyed our stay here seeing the kingfisher come a few times over our stay there, trout jumping out the water when the poor anglers had gone home empty handed, dragonflies, damselflies. bats, many types of butterflies, buzzards were an absolute plus. The internet was intermittent which wasn't a problem for us as it helped to switch off and everybody needs an internet and social media break."
