Our room, a junior suite was quite large and surgically clean. Bathroom was very modern, large and with great water pressure. Staff was great. My only caution would be to comment that this is not an air-conditioned hotel in the usual sense. There is a system which can be set to lower the temperature in the room slightly, but we found it ineffective. If you're not comfortable sleeping in a warm room, this hotel might best be considered only in the cooler months.

Staff so helpful, cleanliness off the hotel. Had a little problem with our bathroom sink, but it got fixed within half a hour

The front desk was very helpful and my room was ready early. The Maitre d’e In the restaurant was rude but the meal was good.

Close to all attractions, yet very quiet at night. Service and staff are excellent! Great restaurant where I enjoyed wonderful breakfasts and dinners. Highly recommended 👍

Great location, near tram stop. Quiet room, breakfast buffet was okey but there could have been more to offer. Room was nice and clean but there was an open view from shower/ bathroom to the room which was not so nice

I would give it 10 Stars if I could. I stayed here for 10 nights and found it to be exceptional in every regard. The staff went above and beyond to assist in any way they could. I have only praise for this hotel and highly recommend it.

Nice property in the heart of old town. No true air conditioning (apparently not permitted in that part of the city) but their innovative cooling system (circulating water through the basement I believe) was very effective. Great stay!

Good location, nice modern hotel
Nice hotel in a very central location. Good breakfast. Rooms are modern and clean. Friendly staff. Not great with bicycles but they were very accommodating finding us a parking spot.

In downtown Basel so close to many activities. Breakfast not included. But, that was one of my Expedia search criteria so this a disappointment.

This property was fantastic.I especially loved how helpful and pleasant the staff were at the front desk, restaurant and the bar.Also the cleaning staff were so thorough.

Hotel Basel is a beautiful property. We had a very large room with a stunning painted beam ceiling, very comfortable bed and linens. While we did not take advantage, the hotel gave us passes for public transit valid for our two night stay. We walked everywhere though as shopping and restaurants are all close. We dined at the hotel one night and had a delicious wild garlic risotto with asparagus. The breakfast room was lovely with much to choose. If you go to Basel stay here!
