I had a great stay at San Sebastián while in Huaraz. All of the staff were very helpful, the hotel rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good and they held my bags for 8 days while I was on the Huayhuash Trek. I would definitely stay at San Sebastián again and will recommend it to anyone I know visiting Huaraz.
Good enough. Staff doesn’t accommodate early check in’s and laundry isn’t available on Sunday or Saturday afternoon. Breakfast is very limited but good. Rooms are clean.
I stayed at the San Sebastian Hotel while acclimating for the Huayhuash trek. The San Sebastian is like a mini oasis in Huaraz. Behind unassuming metal doors, is a cozy and peaceful hotel that regularly hosts hikers from around the world. The staff are relatively helpful and although not every staff member speaks English, they do try their best to understand and assist guests. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the WIFI is reliable, and there are electrical sockets to charge electronics. The hotel is not as close to the town center as some other hotels, but it's still just a 15 minute walk to Plaza de Armas, the town square. I enjoyed my stay at San Sebastian.
The rooms were simple, clean and comfortable. However, it took a long time for the hot water to arrive in the shower.
The location of the hotel is very central, walking distance to the main plaza. I also felt very safe. They had 24-hour staff support.
The breakfast had both warm and cold food options.
Hotel is well located close to main street in Huaraz that takes you to city center-market. Staff is very friendly and hotel is well maintained. Our room was a little disappointing in size, no view and a little outdated but just OK. Did not have a chance to have breakfast due to early flight, hotel provided takeaway bags which was appreciated. Quiet place in comparison with stay in another hotel.
We stayed at this hotel twice and we absolutely loved it, the property is very cute and neat. Everyone who works there is so helpful and nice. Would gladly stay there if I’m ever back in Huaraz.
Props to the staff. From the reception to the kitchen, all of them were absolutely amazing. Kind and friendly.
I won't give the details to avoid people asking for it. But there was a miscommunication issue between myself and the hotel. And they handled it perfectly, making sure that my staying and my tour worked the best way possible.
Mistakes happen, but how you deal with them makes the difference.
What is good:
— Great bed
— Working/Organization table
— Great shower
— Great breakfast
— Great structure. I spend hours working before check in and after check out, and it is very good. Very prepared.
What could be better, but is not bad:
— Localization — Is not bad, but that close to the center
— Bathroom — No reason for a bathtub if you cannot use it.
— Could have some kind of heating
We loved our stay here. The hotel was lovely and our room was great. Staff were really helpful. Breakfast was delicious and we had a nice dinner there one night too. Only thing that could be improved would be the WiFi signal was a bit weak in our room but wasn’t a big deal!
It is a very nice hotel, located 10 minutes' walk from the centre. out of the crude but still not far. pleasant place to stay, very helpful staff. Good breakfast.
