Room was tired, carpets in need of cleaning/replacing, bedding and towels were clean. Pub in general again pretty tired also. Food was typical pub grub but decent. All staff pleasant and helpful. Served our purpose for a one night break.

The bedrooms are a bit tired looking and it is a bit of a rabbit warren with lots of ups and down stairs so not the best if you have mobility issues. However the room and en-suite were clean, the bed was comfortable and there were tea and coffee supplies in the room - all we really needed for a one night stay. There was a good breakfast and the staff were friendly.

For the money was ok. The room and bathroom were very clean, the bed comfy and the water hot. Four steps down to the bathroom, which seemed odd. The pub itself is in desperate need of a re-vamp. Very tired. Also, the staircase to the room a bit grim Also noticed cigarette butts on floor outside that were there when we arrived and still there two days later. Although would probably not stay again, I felt safe, and parking fine.
