All of the staff were very helpful, even loaning us an adapter because I brought the wrong one. The lady in the spa was superb. While the pool was very cold, the sea was lovely to swim in. Food was good, plenty of choice. Drinks were great, and the entertainment was age appropriate, rifle shooting, table tennis, pub quiz etc. Great fun.
Wonderful staff and facilities. We had a great time at this hotel. The beach is beautiful. The food was good and the staff were all very friendly. It is on quite a steep slope but we didn’t mind that at all. The water is crystal clear and there’s a ferry boat to take you across the bay to herceg novi.
Lovely hotel, clean and comfortable, good food, friendly staff.

Spectacular views, great staff- poor food tbh
Incredible location and views. The staff were lovely and lots of things to do. Rooms were great in general.
Food is very poor tbh. Beer tastes weird from the tap and it’s not fully all inclusive. Pool is very small for the number of people.
Sea pool is fab with spectacular views. TV was not usable for English speakers however we had no rain days so who cares.
Unbelievable views and we’d come again but we’d budget to go out for food unless we learned they drastically improved the food

Beautiful location
Beautiful location, service minded staff, nice atmosphere, good restaurant, however buildings need some improvements and food/snacks in the beach bar can easily be better.
This was our first all-inclusive break in many years, and it did not disappoint. The view from our balcony, across the water to Herceg Novi, was beautiful, and we never tired of it. The facilities were modern (we understand that the hotel was completed in 2019), and the cleaning staff, reception team and the activities hosts - were cheerful and welcoming. Special mention should go to Victoria, Nico, Omar and Gordana, but the whole team is excellent. The area which could be improved is the buffet catering. Although we were always able to assemble a tasty plateful (and appreciated that the restaurant has to cater for different nationalities and tastes) we decided to eat out a couple of times for variety.

Liked staff very hardworking helpful and friendly . Disliked the many many steep steps.
The view is unbelievable! Excellent position of the hotel. Fantastic to swim in the sea and then enjoy good level all inclusive offer. Superb thanks to the very professional staff! They take very good of the guests with marvellous attitude and professional touch. A lot of activities to make us also move a bit! All the staff were great and remember to mention at least Ruslan, Nikola, Nikolas, Yazi, Mariela, Gabriela but forgetting many at the same time.

Beautiful views but …
Beautiful setting, and absolutely epic views. Full view across the bay. When paying for priority location Sea View, careful what room you get as there are large trees blocking the view, we had room 4311, and tree blocked view from right hand side, switched to 4304 on the other side and got the full view. It is out of the town (15-20 mins drive from Herceg Novi) not many amenities within walking distance other than a shop/chemist and restaurant.
Hotel itself is beautiful, I would say some attention to detail is required in the rooms.
We stayed in the Luna building (priority location) and the newest one, but some of the finishes let it down and the cleaning needs improving. Good choice of food and varies each night. Entertainment was ok but could have been better quality evening shows.
WARNING FOR SUN LOVERS in October the sun goes behind the mountain at 2:30pm so either plan to drive round to Herceg Novi on the other side of the bay or catch the shuttle boat.
THINGS IBEROSTAR NEED TO IMPROVE: All inc??? They charge 5€ per day for safety deposit boxes in YOUR room! And wanting 35€ refundable deposit PER pool towel! This is simply not acceptable for a 4 star hotel!!! Safes should be free to use and asking for large deposits for towels is ridiculous, just give people towel cards, and if they don’t return the towel card on check out, charge a credit card which should be taken at check in! Otherwise it just encourages people to end up using their room towels and ruining those.

FOOD IS HALAL
the biggest helpful information i can give you
this really helped our stay
the staff is amazing particularly Mara who is so professional and had to deal with a very rude customer before me but remained polite and positive. the staff and their kindness and professionalism make the stay what it is
It's a beautiful place, and we enjoyed our stay! Given that we opted for the all-inclusive option, it would also be beneficial to ensure guests can still order food outside the designated meal times. We went for dinner early, and later on in the evening, we were hungry, and there was no option for room service for us to order food!

Having stayed at iberostar properties before. I was very disappointed with the quality of the food. Only one restaurant was available. The offerings while plentiful, were of low quality and poorly prepared. Staff was amazing. Location was gorgeous and room was well appointed. You cannot beat the views.

Lipstick on a pig resort. Ants everywhere, including in your bed. The worst cafeteria cheap food imaginable. Spend the extra money to stay anywhere else but at this property. It’s rundown, dirty, with the cheapest food and drink possible.
Met some great people; who all agreed that the resort should be a 1 star.
The stay was good, but we were really disappointed of the food. It was always the same, no varieties. The included drinks were from a machine (cheapest syrup), drinks in bottles cost extra. That was the biggest disadvantage and the reason we won´t recommend the hotel.

Great location but overpriced
I enjoyed my 2 night stay at Iberostar Herceg Novi, however I do not think it was good value for money with the all inclusive package. There wasn't a good variety of food and with most of it being buffet it was often luke-warm or tasted like it had been sitting there for a while. The cereals at breakfast tasted stale. The drinks selection was ok but they didn't have many options either. The location is stunning with great views over to the town and a cheap boat service is regular, but for the price I was disappointed.
Beautiful hotel with stunning views over the sea and mountains. Very peaceful location. The hotel offers a taxi boat every hour for €5 which takes you to nearby towns Igalo and Herceg Novi. The food was surprisingly varied and tasty- definitely exceeded our expectations. Rooms were clean with good air conditioning.
The only negative thing about the hotel is the ridiculous number of stairs and hills. We stayed in the garden view rooms which are at the top of the hill. The pool/sea/restaurant are at the bottom which makes for a sweaty climb back.
There is a €15 cash deposit for each beach towel so take cash with you. The ATM in reception charged €5 to take out cash.
We loved the location and the peacefulness of it for sure. I was not a fan of staying on the first floor, and yes, if you have problems with your knees or hips, this will be a hike. The food was plentiful and tasty for the most part, but my concern is the lack of cleaning and sanitizing. Tables are not being wiped down after use, s&p container are not cleaned, servings spoons are too small and dirty. Condiments are also not wiped down at the buffet. I'm mentioning that because I had a super long hair fall on my omelet after using hot sauce.
During busy hours, your table will be cleared off unless you leave a "personal item", which is not happening. I card saying still eating/done would be appropriate.
Pool area is large (loved it), but chairs and cushions are never hosed off or cleansed in any way. There was a used bandage at the pool for all the days we spent there. Lady's WC had only 2 stalls, of which one is missing a lock.
We loved being able to relax and enjoy some rays, but I would have to point out sanitary issues at buffet and pool when recommending this hotel.
Pros: The entertainment staff were purely awesome people. The Star Camp was especially great for my 5 year old daughter to play separately from us, and she looked forwards to it. There's great shows, and the rooms / venue is very clean, with spectacular views. The food was very good, but not as good as the genuine local cuisine.
Cons: On the night of our checkout, my wife and I both woke at 4am with food poisoning at the same time. I recovered quicker, meanwhile she puked 13 times, and had severe stomach pains, and we went to the hospital. It is a buffet, but we were both very careful and selective with what we ate, and we'd only eaten at the hotel. At what would have been our checkout time, we were instead at the local hospital getting her an IV. The hotel manager came along to be helpful, but then the staff questioned me as to why the receipt didn't say "food poisoning" on it, and wanted to charge me an extra night because we were in no condition to checkout. But how could they know that, if the receipt was in my pocket? How did they know my medical records? The doctor had literally told me to my face, in clear words, food poisoning. So the manager clearly went with us to make sure that the discharge papers didn't say food-poisoning, to cover his own self. Anyhow, they let us spend the additional night for free in the end to recover, but I still lost the day, and paid $180 euros to rebook our flights to the next day. My guess, it was their water, not their food.
