Ehh… not again…
Well, I tried to stay in a budget and I thought that this would be a good place. Staff was very friendly and really liked the whole ambience of being in the jungle. The rooms were just not great honestly. There were mold and spider webs all over the place and the bed had springs sticking out. And the whole room just had a damp feeling to it that I got sick from when I left. Not where I’d stay again…

It’s so in jungle and feel peaceful and a little outside far from city or town. After realize it’s different feel than your thinking than it’s fun too. We had great time to stay there. Staff nice but not speak English, we used Google translate it’s work fine. Breakfast had some different kind you can ask for eggs , they made simple eggs, it’s all good that’s all you need . We asked for storage for luggages when we checked out , we went to Iguazu falls get back take shower in the pool and change clothes in restroom before to go to airport. We are appreciate that option to made easy for us.

The location, much like the other surround hotels is positioned within the beautiful dense surrounding forest, however wildlife is not as prevalent in this area as in the national forest nearby. As for the restaurant, almost all bread served for lunch and dinner was over cooked or burned on the bottom. The food was severely lacking in both creativity and execution. Substitutions or custom preparation of food is simply against their policy. I recommend finding a nearby hotel with a restaurant instead of wasting time and money here. Leaving the property to the left just a short walk is Selvaje Lodge with an excellent restaurant with great service.

Clean and comfortable - good for family
Great home-base for seeing the waterfalls. We appreciated the friendly staff, clean rooms, lovely breakfast, and welcoming pool. The pool bar attendant was very creative and made us some tasty drinks after a long morning of touring the waterfalls. The jungle pushes right up to the pool patio, so it is well-shaded with areas of full sun if you chose.

La limpieza es diaria y muy buena. El personal del hotel es genial! Nos atendieron siempre con una sonrisa y solucionaron todos nuestros pedidos. Lo único que puedo sugerir para mejorar la experiencia es que instalen frigobar y jarras eléctricas en las habitaciones

Muy buen hotel, tuvimos un inconveniente con la reserva al llegar y lo solucionaron rapido. Faltaria mejorar el menu, tiene ofertas mas bien gourmet, no tiene menu infantil y no estan unifocados los menúes de la piscina y el restaurante. Como adicional podrian tener frigobar en la habitacion, no sabemos so fue la nuestra o ninguna tiene. El resto todo excelente!!!

Las personas que atienden en la recepción y en el restaurante súper agradables. Como no consumo leche de vaca, me consiguieron una leche vegetal para que tomara en el desayuno solo para mi. La habitación era espaciosa, lo mejor el balcón a la selva y la ducha que salía con mucha fuerza. Volvería.

This is a cute property with lots of charm. There are lots of hummingbirds around and the pool is nice. But the devil is in the details... the top of the wall-installed hairdryer obviously had not been cleaned in a very long time and was completely covered in dirt and dust. The bathroom needs a renovation.

O hotel é lindo e tem tudo para ser muito confortável se não fossem alguns problemas bem chatos. O telefone não funcionava, a banheira tinha vazamento, cada banho alagava o banheiro, o frigobar não funcionava. Me disseram que era porque eu havia colocado 2 cervejas e ele estava sobrecarregado. Mentira, pois não funcionou com ou sem coisas dentros. O café da manhã é beeem fraco e sem opções. Apenas pao de queijo de opção salgada. Tudo era desculpa para dizer que um temporal estragou as coisas. Uma pena, poderiam ter avisado no checkin. Funcionarias da cozinha enlimpeza muito simpáticas o da recepção e uma outra que acredito ser dona, antipática e sem nenhuma vontade de resolver o problema dos seus hóspedes. A diaria foi bem cara pelo serviço prestado.

Nice hotel with helpful staff
The hotel was nice, I liked how it was kind if built around nature, not on top of it. The staff was really helpful too, and prices for dinner was reasonable. Unfortunately there's no Wi-Fi in the rooms, just in reception, and this didn't even work half the time we were there. This forced me to use money on roaming, which is quite costly. It's also quite a bit away from both the town and the falls, which makes it a bit difficult when you're on a budget and can't take a taxi everywhere. There was public transportation, but this was quite a walk away. Breakfast had mostly sweet food, not much savoury, and no vegetables at all. Dinner was nice though. All in all I would rate this hotel as average, it's a pleasant stay, but I would most likely not go back.

Quaint and Quiet
Definitely a great spot to stay. The owner/manager, Mauricio, is phenomenal. He took care of us the whole way. This hotel is a small property but has everything you need. The common is area is very comfortable and accessible. The pool was a refreshing ending to a long hot day - 14 miles - hiking the falls. Wi-Fi in the rooms is the only upgrade I would suggest. They are working on expanding the property so I'd expect that to be implemented soon. Thanks again for the great hospitality, Mauricio!

We cannot compare Selva de Laurel with the numerous other hotels in the area, but we were impressed with a few things: Size - about 12 rooms, modern, clean, with nice amenities. Staff - eager to help and friendly. Location - truly in the jungle, the nighttime sounds were amazing. Free breakfast and a very good dinner menu.

Hotel perfecto para visitar cataratas y descansar
El hotel es perfecto para descansar mientras durante el día puedes visitar ambos lados de las cataratas. Lo único es que está un poco apartado de Puerto Iguazu pero muy fácil con un taxi.
