A pleasant and convenient short stay

A basic value for money hotel that is good for short stay. No cleaning or top up service provided during my two nights stay. Door closing in neighbouring rooms and rain can be heard despite no windows in my room but otherwise fine. Two shopping malls of walking distance away with many eateries around. The Indian lady (sorry didn’t get her name) at the reception was very friendly and helpful.

Good place to stay but...

Strategic place to stay, cleanliness is good.Staff also very friendly and will choose to stay again. Near 7eleven and main road. Easy to access, parking is based on first come, first serve. The air-conditioner in my room 208, is not been place near my bed, so a bit hot. but will choose to stay here again!

Basic needs at budget price

Stayed for one night and it suited our needs I.e. just a place to sleep. The hotel is very clean except that the towels were a little 'tired' and had a funny smell. You get what you pay for; there is no fridge in the rooms.

ART COTTAGE BOUTIQUE HOTEL, IPOH, MALAYSIA

This has been rated as a 3 stars hotel in IPOH. The hotel is on the upper floor of a row of shop houses. It is a small hotel with limited rooms. However, there are few types of rooms to choose from, depending on the prices. The hotel is well kept and the staff are friendly. The room is clean and well maintained and it is fairly new so most of the furnishings are good. The bed is comfortable; and the both room well supplied and clean. However, for some rooms there is NO FRIDGE. This issue should be reviewed, as Ipoh is generally quite HOT and a fridge will help the guest to have a better stay!!! The location is out of town and public transport is POOR. GRAB is a GOOD way to move around, as the taxis are few and DEMAND SKY HIGH FARES !!! there ARE MANY EATRIES AROUND, apart from two Supermart. The hotel has NO dinning facility !!! Good stay if one has OWN TRANSPORT !!!

Cozy and Arty

The rooms my wife and I stayed in are perfect size for 2 persons. Extra pillows were available with everything else tucked in nicely. Shower temperature was a little bit hard to control. There was no water dispenser available but we had 2 free bottles of mineral water provided by the management. Would definitely come back again!

The staff I met were cheerful and helpful. Decor was charming in sandy tones and tiles, with greenery; facilities were well-maintained. Shower was powerful, bed was comfortable. Very good value.

Good clean hotel

Was pleasantly surprised when I found the hotel as it looked much nicer than in the pictures. Rooms were small but enough for a comfortable stay. Only gripe was the small window which made the room look smaller. Shower was excellent as the water pressure and cleanliness of the shower room was refreshing. I would rate this hotel as one of the best budget stays I've had in Malaysia.
