"The room was nice and the view was beautiful, I doubt there is a room with bad view. The food and drinks were alright, but my favorite was the sea food restaurant. We were lucky we only had algae in the sea 1 day out of 4. It was very close to a shopping and restaurant center which was fun to explore at night. "

"Stayed for 4 nights in early March. The room had a weird water leak on the floor. We had to have a towel on the floor all of the time to keep some what dry. When taking a shower the entire bathroom floor would be covered in water due to the way the shower was set up. Room was kept very clean. Minimal contact with staff. Overall okay stay for the price."

"The hotel was very clean and in a perfect location right on the beach. The staff were very welcoming/friendly and most were always very helpful. However there were a couple of staff members who were quite rude and dismissive which was very disappointing!! But we would like to mention Josue (rooftop bar) who was AMAZING and very friendly and accommodating!! We had a foul smell coming from the bathroom, so after complaining the staff were very apologetic and immediately upgraded us to an ocean view room. The only negative to this hotel was the food. It quickly became very repetitive and boring as it was pretty much the same food every day/night as part of the all inclusive package (all inclusive menu was different to the normal menu with very limited choice!!). And we didn’t even know about the special dishes when there was an Italian night. I think the hotel management should review their food and have more buffets in the evening and different types of dishes as it quickly became apparent that most of the guests were eating out and the restaurant was empty most evenings. Overall we had a lovely relaxing stay at this hotel. "

"The Mayan Monkey is a very attractive place located in the South of Isla Mujeres. It is very quiet, right on the ocean, but located far from nightlife and restaurants. A city bus or taxi can take you to the more active north part of the island. We paid for an included breakfast for 3 days. On the first day the service took more than an hour and the eggs we ordered over medium came back as sunny side up. The second day the eggs came back over hard. The third day we tried to cancel the breakfast but the manager refused to refund the money. They provided only 2 coffee pods for the in-room coffee pot for a 3 day stay and said we would need to pay if we wanted any more. The staff were very pleasant, however. "
