“We have stayed here before and the experience was average. This time we brought our dog since the hotel was pet friendly. When we got there there was white dog hair all over the bed. Our dog is brown, the bedding wasnt changed. There was a used contact lens stuck to the night stand, we dont wear contacts. “Front desk clerk refused to check us in at 3:49pm, even though we were only 11 minutes early. We argued and she finally agreed. However, she had a, "printer issue," and didn't actually hand us the keys until right at check in time. I suspect the general manager has told staff they are not to check any guest in early. “A great little place. I’d enjoyed a stay here one time before—on a Monday night. This time it was a Wednesday so The Laurel was open! I checked in at 7:45 so only 15 minutes before closing. I walked down the stairs, they gave me a table, I had a fantastic cocktail and very very tasty steak bites with nice accompaniment.
